Raimondi's Montclair Paint
This paint and interior design store is family-owned. Its a good place in a pinch, but the paint is a bit pricey, the owners are not big on sales and other incentives, and they can sometimes be a bit surely. That said, if you live in the Montclair area, or close by, it is pretty convenient.
Le Bonbon
This is a small candy store with a great selection. Theres a large jelly belly selection, Godiva chocolates, Lindt, Toblerone, handmade chocolate assortments by the pound, hard candies, gummies, mints, wrapped candies, taffy, licorice, cordials, seasonal mixes, sours, etc. Mugs, decorative containers and other fun ceramic keepsakes are also sold here.
A Great Good Place For Books
This is truly a gem of little book store. Independent and charming, the store is well organized, comfortable, and not too overstuffed with merchandise. Lots of fiction titles and a great childrens room in the back filled with a tasteful selection of picture books (mostly hardcover), readers and series chapter books for young readers. Cookies and tea are free.
Montclair Florist
The flower shop in Montclair is a bit more upscale than your mom and pop flower shop, with a tasteful selection of vases and plants. The arranged flowers are elegant, often containing selections of unusual flowers/plants in addition to the more common sunflowers and irises.
Ag Ferrari Foods
A.G. Ferrari is a chain Italian market and deli. The selection of Italian groceries is excellent, with a great selection of Italian wines, including the cheaper Ferrari brand. The meats, cheeses, sauces, pasta (dry and fresh), vinegars, cookies and candies are all of excellent quality, if not a bit pricey. Ive been disappointed with the fresh bread.
Montclair Toyhouse
This is a small toy store, but contains a lot of fun things. It is a clean, well-organized store. There is a little bit of everything for each age group of kids. There are Playmobile and Lego toys, blocks, puzzles, art supplies, books, dollar-type small toys (like marbles and small plastic animals), games, vehicles, trains and toy musical instruments. Best of all, they WRAP for FREE!
Femi MacUs Nails
This nail shop is a decent deal, but dont expect a spa-type experience. It is more like your typical nail shop, with lines of manicure tables and pedicure chairs, all in one room. The workers are young, primarily Asian women. A manicure/pedicure combo is about $35. Pedicure comes with paraffin wax treatment.
Glenview Hardware
This True Value hardware store feels more like a mom and pop shop. Most of the cashiers are older men, charming, helpful and witty. Its not a big hardware store, but contains most of the basics, including gardening supplies, paint supplies, plumbing supplies, key cutting, and your basic nails and tools.
Glenview Flowers Etc
This is a no-frills flower shop. The nicest part is the display outside. But this shop does carry a nice selection of seasonal favorites. Youll find sunflowers, mums, daisies, asters, irises, roses of all different sizes and colors, carnations, bulbs, etc. There is an antique shop attached which is quite charming.
Savemore Market & Liquor
This market feels more like a corner liquor store when you first enter. However, youd be surprised at all the convenient items you will find there: diapers, fresh produce, organic dairy products, and bakery items, in addition to the usual candy, chips, sodas and liquor youd normally find in a corner store.
