The margaritas are definitely the best feature at La Cabana.
Their chips are great too. They make their tortillas on the premises and the place has a nice atmosphere.
Love the carnitas and also the outdoor patio.
CONS: Not closer to my house!
This staples is convenient for Venice locals. Several years ago I bought a multipurpose copier/fax unit and was talked into buying the 3 year extended warranty. I typically never purchase these and would you believe, the one time I do my multi unit failed a month before the 3 year period was up. I was thinking there is no way they are going to have a replacement in stock and they didn't. What turned out to be great was that the manager allowed me to pick any model unit of equal price and I ended up getting another brand. I have been real happy with it.
Management is great, staff is great, selection is good, parking as OK. There is actually lots of parking upstairs (on top of the building) but I always look for a space by the front entrance. It's hit or miss.
Prices are good and they have specials just like all the other office supply stores. For locals in Venice, and the Marina, this is the office store for you.
PROS: Helpful staff
This Cheesecake Factory gets real busy so get there early, make reservations, or prepare to wait.
The food makes up for the wait. There are many items on the menu (like four pages or more) and they make everything (at least in my experience) well.
There is a full bar and they have a great selection of alcohol and bar drinks.
The biggest problem with the great menu and great drinks is their massive desert choices. Can't go to the cheesecake factory and not have cheesecake now can you? I mean why bother?
Eat well and be merry.
Parking is valet only but if you are traveling by car you can park free in the city public lot at the end of via marina and admiralty. It's before the factory (north) but you'll save time getting out of the lot when the place is packed.
Great choise for Marina del Rey dining.
PROS: Big menu and full bar
CONS: Be prepared for a busy experience
Islands is best for their burgers, especially the blue cheese bluenamis (sp?). There are 7 or so burger choices.
Other main menu items are not as great but it's still good stuff. The strawberry lemonade used to be fantastic but lately they have gone to some mix which has less strawberries and tastes processed.
They never have enough napkins, so ask for extras since the meals can get messy.
Plenty of parking which is important since they are only a few blocks from the beach.
PROS: Good Burgers, Good Parking close to beach
CONS: Quality not as good as it was only a year or two ago.
My chiropractor recommended this place when I asked him about getting running shoes. I used to buy what looked good but he recommended I go somewhere where a professional could assess my walking / running movements.
The people that work there are runners and they have a treadmill to run on so they can see what may be best for you. Together, we found shoes that looked good and felt good on my feet. I ended up getting two pairs of sauconys and they have both been great.
There was not a huge selection of shoes but I think for running shoes there are probably less designs than there would be in a large outlet type store that carries all kinds of shoes.
Prices were reasonable.
Other than parking (very close to the beach on Washington) the place is great.
PROS: Supplied what I needed, my feet are happy!
CONS: Beach Parkiing, weekends can be difficult.
My chiropractor first sent me to this new Trader Joes location to get a product called Emergen-C. The store is clean, the staff is friendly and helpful, and I love the items they carry.
There is always something fresh to get. I love the carrot cake muffins, the bran muffins, and the loafs of bread (garlic loaf, mmmm).
PROS: Great selection of healthy and delightful stuff.
