I had a minor fender bender and got a few outrageously high estimates at other places. When I went to San Clemente Auto Collision, they were friendly, polite and the price was right! My car was fixed in no time and looks fantastic. Mike and Steve are the guys I met there and they do excellent work. I recommend them without reservation!
Check them out!
Tony's is my absolute FAVORITE restaurant in the world. I do not make this claim lightly. I went here three times within two weeks! It is so good. There is nothing I can say that is negative about Tony's. Their salad bar is the BEST I have ever seen. Their RIBS are award-winning. This is a clean, modern, new restaurant with friendly attentive servers. PLEASE go to Tony's when in Findlay (or even near Findlay!)...it is worth driving out of your way - yes, it is that good.
PROS: Excellent Ribs, Salad Bar and more...
CONS: ....absolutely nothing!
I went to this Taco Bell on Tiffin Avenue about two weeks ago. It is a standard Taco Bell Restaurant, but is new and extra clean. The food was good (my favorite fast food!) and the service just fine. The exterior is painted in new attractive colors (purples and teal) and geometric designs. Easy to find along Tiffin Avenue. Large parking lot and drive through also.!
PROS: Good location, same great Taco Bell food
We had been to Trattoria Mollie some years ago when it was in another location. We decided to go back recently because we had enjoyed our dinner there before. This time, I'm sorry to say, we were disappointed. The dining room was loud, everything echoed and made talking to each other very difficult. We asked to move outside to their patio and when we did, it was a great improvement.
Our dinners arrived and although we all tried, many of our group were disappointed in their meals. Not sure what happened, but the food was just not very good that evening. Although this is an upscale restaurant and our meals were on the expensive side, we later said that we probably would not go back.
Located on Coast Village Road just outside of Santa Barbara.
PROS: Patio dining was nice.
CONS: food not too great, unfortunately ,and overpriced too.
Presto Pasta is surprisingly good food for a fraction of what other Italian restaurants cost. They used to have an ad on TV that said that pasta didn't have to be expensive. I believe it now after going to Presto Pasta. It is Italian fast food, but it is also very good! They have a variety of dishes, alfredo's, marinara dishes, meatballs, eggplant, caesar salads, etc.
The prices range from $5.00 - $7.00 per dinner. They are open for lunch and dinner.
Located in the Calle Real Shopping Center. Parking out front.
PROS: tasty Italian dishes - the price is right
Northstar Coffee Company has delicious coffee and a great atmosphere. I first went here when my co-worker recommended it to me. She said it was the best coffee in town. I went on a rainy day and inside the shop it was warm and cozy with a fire going in the fireplace. Several people were either chatting or reading. I asked for a mocha and told them my friend had recommended coming to Northstar. They gave me a discount on my first cup! I never forgot that - it was so nice. I've been back many times since and enjoy it each time I go, rain or shine.
Located in downtown Santa Barbara on State Street. Look for the deep red awnings out front. Near the Fiesta Theater and Carrillo Street.
PROS: yummy coffee...great atmosphere.
My sister had used the services provided at Tremblay Financial and since she had recommended them so highly, we decided to take a look. We were very happy with the advice offered and decided to invest a small amount into something that was recommended as being a good option with not too high of a risk (what we wanted). So far, even with the volatile market, we are happy with the results we have had. We have Tremblay Financial to thank for their sound financial advice.
Whenever we need an appointment here, the waiting time is short.
You can find Tremblay Financial at the corner of State, close to La Cumbre Road. Parking is in the back.
PROS: good financial advice
Roberts Photography is a professional photo studio. Both of my sons had their high school photos done here and we were Extremely pleased with the results. The care that is taken with each student is way above average. (If you do not have the proper attire, they will loan you a jacket, for example.)
Each photographer we met took several different poses. Before leaving you are given a password to view your proof sheet online, which is very convenient. Of course, when you decide which photos you want to purchase, there are several
packages to choose from within a large range of prices.
Located is on State Street. We always parked on the street when visiting the studio. There is a small waiting area. 3-4 staff members help you check in and check out and decide on packages for portraits. Family portraits, babies, outdoor photos, everything is available here.
PROS: creative photos, nice photographers
CONS: can be expensive if you get carried away!
Superior Brake and Alignment does do good work, I admit that. But their prices seem very high to me and their attitude is somewhat odd - they seem like they are doing you a favor by fixing your car. I have had that feeling when I've gone in there. At first I thought I was imagining it, but it struck me again the next time I went in some months later. A friend of mine went there and she said the same thing. Their lot is on the small side too, so manuevering your car in and out of there is a challenge.
Not sure if I'll go back unless they change their attitude. Located on Fairview Avenue near the airport.
PROS: they do good work.
CONS: bad attitude.
Goleta Automotive is where I've taken my car in a few times for engine work, so I went back to them again for more maintenance work. Unfortunately, I think I hit them on a bad day, because the work was not done to my satisfaction. There was some sort of miscommunication, because one of their mechanics thought the other had done the job and vice
versa and it ended up that the job had not been done at all. The manager tried to apologize and they did fix the car after all, but it was sort of a rushed thing at the end of the day. Their prices seem a bit high also. Their maintenance area is small and parking there is very tight. The office is somewhat of a mess also.
Located near the airport off of Fairview Ave. on the small street
of Olney Ave. Not sure if I'll go back or not at this point...
PROS: They have their good days and their bad days.
