J & Bs Pet Palace
I have been in this store a few times. Once to pick up special cat food when 2 of my cats were sick, and 2 times to get my cats groomed. The food ended up being overpriced for the same thing I could get at a chain store. The groomers were not very nice, and ignored my request to not SHAVE my longhair cat. When I picked up my cat I was SHOCKED that my cat had been shaved. They didnt seem to care that they were in the wrong for shaving my cat against my wishes. They were very overcharged, and after they shaved my cat, I will not go back there for anything ever again!
laser quest
I have been to laser quest on several occasions with birthday parties for my kids friends. It is not all its cracked up to be. By the time you finally get to play, you dont get very long. If you want to just walk in the lines can be very long, and the kids get frustrated having to wait. The gear seems to be outdated, and not very safe. It is very close to a bar, and sometimes there are less then desireable people milling around the parking lot, trying to ask for money or cigarettes from you. Not very kid friendly. I would not book a party there!
Spay & Neuter Clinic
I have taken all of my animals here for spay/neuter services and also to have my cats de-clawed. The staff is very friendly, and seem to really care for the animals. I also take them in for their once a year check up and shots, and for four animals, I stay in the $100 range for the visits and shotsthis is for all animals combined (not per animal). They even send out a nice reminder about a month ahead of time for each animal and what shots they need, along with a nice $2.00 off services per animal. The location is close to the freeway, which makes it a lot easier for me to get too! I will be going there for as long as I have pets!
Apollo Animal Hospital
I have used Apollo Animal Hospital several times to board my dogs while on vacation. They staff is very friendly, and it is very clean. This is great if you have small to medium sized dogs (say under 50-60 pounds) as the kennels are not very big. If you have a larger breed dog (over 60 pounds) you might not want to come here. My larger dog seemed cramped in his kennel. They do not have someone there 24 hours, which is a major concern. The price has also gone up numerous times over the past few years, and just does not seem worth it. I would only use them if I had no where else to take my dogs.
Wilhelm Automotive Svc Ctr
I have been going to Wilhelms with my family for about 15 years now. The first 14 years were great. The prices were very affordable, and we were never charged for anything not necessary The manager would call after diagnostic services were done and tell you what was wrong, and how much to fix it, including labor. In the last year, the service has gone down, as that nice manager is no longer there. I took my car in, and was told they didnt have time to even look at it, even though I had an appointment. The office staff was rude, and didnt care my family and I had been coming there for years. My car and I will not be back!
Nick's Frame Shop
I have used Nicks Frame shop on several occasions to have cross stitch items framed and matted. Each time I have been in there, the service has been wonderful. They are very helpful in picking out the best color frame and color matting for my design, to match the color of the stitching. The turn around time is also very good, and the prices are a very good value. They enjoy repeat business!
New England Clock Shop Inc
I purchased a very old and rare watch for my mom on an online auction. The description said it works, sometimes I didnt care, and purchased the watch anyway, it was a collector item, that I knew my mom wanted. Once I got the watch, sure enough, I could not get it to work. I took it to The New England Clock Shop, to see if it could be fixed. I was told maybe, and left the watch. About 2 weeks later, I got the call that the watch was fixed, it just needed one tiny part, and it was less then $20 total (part and labor) to have fixed. My mom was VERY happy with her working watch!
West Valley Uniforms
I went with a police officer friend to West Valley Uniforms so she could get patches sewn on her new uniforms. The staff there was very friendly, and the fees were very reasonable. I asked if they did outside alterations. They said yes, but it may take a little longer than any sort of uniform alteration. I went back a week later with a few pairs of dress slacks to have shortened. They took measurements on the spot, advised it may be 2 weeks, which was fine. About 5 days later, I got a call that my pants were all done, and the price was less than I was quoted! I was very happy, and will use them again in the future!
Joyce's Flower Shack
I have had the opportunity to shop at Joycs on numerous occasions. The selection is great, and the staff is very easy to work with if you want a specific type of flower arranged a specific way. They delivery service is GREAT and everything I have ordered for delivery has been delivered on time, with no problem. They have a GREAT selection, at great prices. I was also able to get last minute corsages for a wedding with only a few hours notice, and the price was GREAT!
Stained Glass Shop
I have been in the stained glass shop on a few occasions, looking for a unique gift. The items for sale are very nice, the detail is wonderful. The staff is very nice. The times I have been there though, I have never bought anything. I think it is slightly overpriced, and some of it could be done for a lot cheaper (the smaller items) with a do it yourself kit from one of the larger chain stores. The parking lot is very tiny, and the store is not stroller friendly.
