Water Club

I came here with my parents a couple years back during the New York Restaurant Week. Our five-course meals were about $40 each, normally I think the meals are at least $100. All i have to say is if they were $100, I would've wanted my money back. The food is definitely not great at all and the portions are so tiny I wanted to go to McDonald's afterwards just to be full. The atmosphere, however, is beyond gorgeous. The lights around, reflecting off the water of the East River outside the window is just perfect. Service was great and the candlelit look is just lovely. This place would be perfect for a date, but the only thing good on the menu is the souffle dessert, and that isn't even that great either.

PROS: very gorgoues
CONS: bad food, high prices

Fong Raymond Md - New York Eye Ctr

If you know anything about Dr. Fong, you would know he has a great resume and with that resume comes an inflated ego. The hallways and rooms are decorated with all his achievements and articles about how he's one of the top doctors in the city. He knows he has lots of patients that love him, you would know from the abundance of other patients that are waiting for him around you and the time of wait, which can go from 1.5 to 3 hours. With all that wait, you only get to see him for about one or two minutes max. All that and he's just an in and out doctor and if you don't have any major problem with your eyes, he'll tell you to see another doctor the next time you come to the clinic. He's not nice at all, but in a sense overly professional and serious.

PROS: very good at what he does
CONS: mean, fast, long wait

Entertainment Outlet

This store has a bunch of hard to find special editions of DVDs, but probably at prices 50% higher than what you will find on places like amazon.com. However, they have some sales racks that, if you had the time, you could find some pretty good deals. They don't have a very wide selection, but what they DO have is the generic mainstream, blockbuster type movies that everyone has heard of. They also have some cheap DVD's for less than 5 bucks that probably no one has heard of or has seen.

Pell Street Fashion Outlet Incorporated

I came in here once because my mom and I were waiting for a table in the restaurant next door and had nothing better to do. What a waste of time. We walked into a stuffy store that was overly cramped and overstocked. The stuff looked like things we could buy at Hong Kong for less than $1 USD, but they were priced at $20-60 in the store. Atrocious! That and they were not at all what people would wear in the streets without getting weird looks - clashing prints and patterns, over abundance of sequins and rhinestones - basically the ugliest clothes you could find at unjustifiable prices.

PROS: none
CONS: expensive, crappy/ugly clothes, hot

Omg Inc

This one's a great O.M.G., but I would much prefer to go to the one closer to Chinatown since that one has a lot more stuff and a lot better sales. Whenever this one has sales, it seems like they put all the stuff I would never buy on clearance and give all the good stuff to the other O.M.G. The two are only a few blocks away from each other, so just walk a bit to the other one if you can. All in all, though, this one has great jeans and good merch just like the other OMG'S. I find the sales associates aren't as great as the other's, though.

O M G Incorporated

I love this O.M.G., compared to all the other ones in the city. They have really good sales in the front area - I've gotten a bunch of Calvin Klein shirts and jeans for $4.99 to $19.99, which all retails for $30-90 bucks. The people in this store are really nice and helpful, also, this store is a lot bigger than the other OMG's, so they have a lot more stuff in my opinion. Really close to Chinatown and other good stores on Broadway, so it's very easy and convenient to get to and shop til you drop around the neighborhood.

PROS: good sales, good merch
CONS: very hot in the summer since they don't have AC

O M G Incorporated

So I love the O.M.G. stores in NYC, but I would much rather prefer to go to the other ones than this one. They all basically have the same merchandise, CK, Polo, Levi's jeans and shirts - but the one sells a lot of cheap tee shirts that look are poor in quality too. Also, this one rarely has sales like the ones on Broadway, so I wouldn't want to go in this one anyway since I'm not about to spend 80-120 dollars on a pair of jeans where they also sell $10 shirts that look like they were made for 50 cents.

PROS: good merch
CONS: bad service, ugly shirts, expensive

Zara International Incorporated

The first floor's basically there to scare the faint of heart and wallet size. However, once you go down to the basement, you are in discount heaven. The styles and quality of everything is perfect and the prices are so affordable and awesome. One look from the outside, you would think it's an extremely expensive place - but it really isn't. It just has extremely expensive-looking clothing.

Zara International Inc

Their clothes are GORGEOUS, but as high prices. However, when you catch the end-of-season sales, the prices are CRAZY LOW. I was amazed at how low they were, especially since the clothes are of such great quality and style. I love this place.

Sephora

Being in the columbus circle mall, it has the look of expensive, high-end taste, with the same prices as the other sephora's. The staff are extremely nice and helpful and you can try on stuff as long as you like and they won't bother you much unless you ask for help.
