They might be a pharmacy but they are known for their selection of greeting cards in this area.
They had 2 stores in town. They shut down the one in the mall, just wanted more time for themselves.
Their pharmacists are friendly. But the store is mostly known for greeting cards and some collectibles.
Often go there to get those special occasion cards that the mass retailers just dont seem to have anything with that personal touch.
conveniently located in downtown Effingham.
PROS: best selection of greeting cards
They have a little of everything here.
If your wanting a computer desk, the chair to sit in or clothes to wear they sell it all here.
This has got to be the biggest resale shop I have ever seen. The building was once a warehouse, now its a resale store. The employees are hard working and their is a large turn over of merchandise. So many people know and shop here that items dont last long.
Alot of people also bring their items for sale here on consignment. With a yearly fee of 5 dollars and half of whatever the items are marked going to the business.
They have a whole area, large section, for seasonal items.
They have plenty of parking and the prices are fair, if you dont like the price, talk to a salesperson. They are known to change prices when something would sell if the price would be lowered.
PROS: HUGE, warehouse sized store
Ok the first thing you see when you enter this store is a HUGE selection of pez dispensers.
The person running the counter knows all about conventions for pez dispensers collectors and the history of pez.
They also carry a selection of barbie and star wars toys that is rather large.
You will also find the odd toy from some old tv show that many of us had already forgotten about.
Their are shelves and shelves of toys that go with shows and movies that I can almost remember but not quite place.
It is a friendly establishment, and the location has moved several times over the years. So if they are not where they once were, just ask around. Chances are they just moved once again.
PROS: pez, pez and more pez
IF your really wanting to pay too much for fuel or anything else for that matter go here.
They have consistently been the most expensive place to purchase fuel in Mattoon.
Their employees are bored, with prices like they have one can only guess at how often they do get some business.
CONS: overly high prices
lots of fuel pumps outside and the lot is always well maintained.
the inside of the store is full of liquors, beer and soda for sale.
The employees are good workers and are competent at giving directions to locations within Mattoon.
They do have a small selection of foods to serve from, but their prices are just to high on those.
PROS: clean place inside and out
CONS: food stuffs are too costly
From 1st thru 8th grades the children of Sigel Illinois have the choice of a local education. The school is showing its age, but not its wear and tear. The School is very well maintained and the teachers are also well maintained.
Now what can I mean by that, their teachers are good. They encourage their students to push themselves. Often having them do more homework than other schools. Which the teachers check and hence are maintained. They are busy, but from what ive seen, the students from there are very prepared for the rigors of high school.
The teachers here take their jobs of instrucint todays youth very seriously.
They also believe in their sports. often ranking in scholastics and sports among the better schools of the same size through out the state.
Located on the Northern Side of Teutopolis, if you turn north at 3z printing you will drive right to it.
The class sizes are in the low 20s.
The teachers communicate well with the students and families and with other teachers on what needs to be done and how best to go about achieving those ends.
Obviously, being a local Comm. College means the vast majority of local students that go to college start out here. They have an extension center, called the kluthe center, on the North East side of Effingham, not far from Marathon gas startion, if you head East at the stop light just south of the gas station and take the 2nd road north youll drive right to it.
Lake Land college boasts a high rate of graduates that go onto a 4 year University. I cant remember the ranking, but they are highly ranked in that regard.
They also have quality instructors, many who have been teaching for decades who really know their stuff and are able to prepare the students for employment in their fields.
PROS: good faculty, strong record of success
CONS: needs more parking for early morning classes
I just had a brother quit going to this place. Every time he went in, they found something that needed to be done. Well according to them. My brother didnt believe his teeth were that bad and sought another dentist.
lo and behind, he has had to have nothing done to his teeth since then, other than the occasional cleaning.
And the reason he left the place, the so called hairline fracture, the next dentist did not see anything to warrant work being done.
located inside the same building as K bowl rests a relaxed little establishment.
so if your wanting to have a cold drink with friends and the rest of your families want to go bowling, this is the place.
The bartenders here are friendly. They like the business, keeps them from bowling duties.
your located in the south middle of the building while the bowling takes place all around as one relaxes with a cold refreshing drink of ones choosing.
