Kitchen Kaboodle Orenco Sta
I actually like the downtown location a smidge better for browsing, but when I shop I usually go to the Hillsboro location. It's quieter, and the employees have more time to help you if you know you'll need help. The selection is still great, and you can browse as long as you want.
Doubletree Hotels
We stayed here during my company's convention downtown, and the service was fab. I'd rather stay here and walk a few blocks to the convention center for the clean, non-smoky atmosphere. The lobby is pretty, and the gladd elevator was fun to ride in. We hard;y had to wait for elevators at all.
Red Lion Hotel-Convention Ctr
I found the Hotel to have a very strong smoke smell, even in the non-smoking room I reserved. There was only on elevator taking people to and from rooms, and since this was the middle of the Portland SCrapbook Expo, it was a long wait to get to your room or from your room every time.
TownePlace Suites by Marriott Portland Hillsboro
I've organized large business meetings and catering in this Marriott, and the service staff was great. The events coordinator was easy to work with and responsive. Our event went off without a hitch.
Embassy Suites By Hilton Portland Downtown
This hiotel is so pretty. And there is an awesome Aveda Salon in the lobby - I've had a few treatments and a haircut done there before and it was just lovely.
Nordstrom
I like going to Nordie's for cosmetics and shoes. They have the best service of any chain store. I also enjoy having lnch in the cafe area. I have purchased a suit here as well, and the alterations were done on site for a very reasonable charge.
WinCo Foods
I don't like shopping at the warehouse places, but Winco in Hillsboro is pretty clean, and the prices are amazing. We go there to stock up on staple foods at way low prices, and the frozen food prices are unbeatable.
Above all Accounting
Have been getting my taxes done with Above All for 2 years. I was referred here by a friend - their physical office location is not very impressive, so it's probably not a great drop-in business impression. I am more than happy to pay Above All their low fees for the fabulous service I get from them. I like now that they have a smaller office and keep the overhead low to save me money.
Verizon Wireless
I've had verizon for a few years now. I've had other services, and the customer service I've received at Verizon makes it worth the extra cost per month. I know there are cheaper services availalbe - but I like knowing that my service provider will actually provide service.
Tanasbourne 76 Station & Car
When I don't want to do my own car, I oftne go to Tanasbourne Shell. You can get a punch card, and the 7th carwash will be free. They do a good touchless job, and the guys who dry off your car at the end are fast. They do a great job.
