One of the best organized stores in the area. Love the layout with the crop tables in the middle of the room. Excellent selction of accessories, updated regularly.
Paper zone has a decent selction of papers for printing. I go for the scapbooking supplies. Their selection has gotten better - they ahve a nice bit of Making Memories. Also, check out the back shelves for cheap deals on plastic card mailers and such.
Whimzee's is one of the samller stores I've been to - and I've been to a lot! They really do stock some great stuff, and keep the inventory up to date. I like the crops - and my favortie this is using the Accucut machine. You can buy paper there or bring in your own and punch what you want for $1 and hour.
Memory Lane has a great crop room - so big and full of tools. Their location is hard to find - but the sisters who own the store are fab. Really well-informed and helpful.
I love Scrapbook Attack. They have a small store, but it is filled with the latest and greatest things. Their website has picks all the new stuff just in, so you can pre-shop, and they are just so helpful and nice!
I like to cruise the Target scrapbooking section regularly. Thye are getting a better selection all the time. Plus they seem to like to turn over the stock, so the clearance section always has amazing deals on fun stuff like Jolies.
I love all the "old" hotels we have in downtown. The mallory is actually my fav for some funny reasons. If you get into their garage before 10 it's $3 for parking the whole day! the Dining room is reasonable and tasty. And the hotel itself is just so elegant.
I've been getting my allergy shots here since 2001, and I love the staff. I'm nearing the end of my treatment, but I have always felt comfortable and well cared for in the AADA office.
When we first came to Oregon we went to Carr to buy a used car. We had cash upfront, ready to buy. We had nevr purchased a used car on our own, so we thought going to a dealer would be better. We test drove a little nissan truck. We liked it, the sales guy said that it wasn't "detailed" yet, could we pick it up tomorrow. We paid them for the car and agreed to pick it up the following afternoon. The car was not ready the next day - or the next - or the next. Supposedly they needed to fix some transmission issue that they found when detailing the car. We only got that stroy from the orignal sales guy, who took us aside as the showroom manager continued to give us the runaround. Eventually I literally had to go to the showroom and pitch a screaming fit to get them to give us our money back. This required us to go to 2 OTHER Carr dealerships to get the paperwork and then the check - they actually thought we would be ok with them mailing our check/refund back to us. At that point I was neither calm nor quiet in my insistance that they return every penny on the spot.
I can not walk past this shop without stopping. They have a good selection of really cool beads, and smaller beads on a string for cheap prices. I can spend an hour browsing and pciking through the well organized selection.
