This is a convenient motel if you're going to be spending time at Six Flags. It's an exterior corridor place, which I don't love, but other than that things are pretty nice. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and the desk staff is friendly. I'd recommend them if you're going to Six Flags, but not if you won't be -- there will be lots of families in this motel, so if you're on a business trip and need silence either to work or sleep, you can't guarantee that here.
Buying a car isn't an activity I enjoy. And I found myself in a situation where "I have to buy a car today" -- not an ideal situation for a car buyer at all. But at Marietta Pontiac things went pretty well. I got the car I was hoping for at a price that was only about $500 more than I had hoped for. But realistically since I needed one THAT DAY, I think I did alright. And they did alright. When all is said and done, if I found myself in Atlanta and had to buy a car, I'd probably go here first.
FCCJ has a good variety of in-classroom classes available and a GREAT selection of online classes from which to choose. The online classes are structured where you have the option of an in-person orientation at the beginning of the semester with no further in-person requirements. Most online course's professors aren't even located in the state. But they're available online for help almost any time you need them. It's a great way to take at least some of your classes.
I would give this location of Publix more than 5 stars if I had the option. While my wife lived in Jacksonville and shopped here regularly, she ordered bouquets to be used in our wedding and paid with her credit card. When we decided to get married out of state, she called to cancel her floral order, but she forgot to go back to the store to sign for the refund. We both completely forgot about it for over a year. She wrote a letter to the manager asking about it, but she assumed that there'd be no way for a refund to be issued after such a length of time. To her surprise and delight, she received a full refund with a letter from the manager. As she put it, they certainly didn't owe her a refund or even an explanation after all that time -- the onus had been on her to collect her refund in a timely manner. Yet they came through for us anyway. That's outstanding service. And we're grateful.
I highly recommend contacting the public library regarding use of their public meeting rooms. They'll let you book in advance (first come, first served), and then the meeting room will be reserved for your group. There are restrictions, including that it has to be a non-profit group. It's convenient and simple, and most people who would be coming to your meetings can find the library. Check them out.
This store has a lot of neat things for your home. But the best part is they send out these coupons for $5 off a $15 purchase or 20% off your purchase. They have expiration dates on them, but if you ask the cashier, they'll let you use it even if it's expired. I keep them in the glove compartment of my car so I always have them when I'm out. And whenever I need something there (or just WANT something there), I always have my coupons with me. I've heard they also take coupons from Linens N Things, but I haven't verified this with them yet.
When you have good management -- management that cares about people and about customer satisfaction -- it shows. And that's how it is here at this location of Hallmark. I have to admit, I've never been much of a Hallmart customer. But after one trip into this store because I needed a last-minute greeting card, I have to say I was won over by the sales staff. They're friendly and helpful without being pushy. The offer assistance and remain visible without hovering over your shoulder. It's a great store with great employees, and I'm sure that means that it's got a great manager. Not all Hallmark stores have a friendly feeling. This one sure does.
PetsMart is an okay store. They have a large variety of things you might need or want for your pet, and they have things for more than just dogs and cats. I've purchased several "accessory" items here, and I've been pleased with them. But as far as prices on the basics -- kitty food and kitty litter -- I can do better with the regular prices at Target and Walmart -- and MUCH better when those stores have sales.
This was a clean and comfortable motel. Nobody really went out of their way as far as service goes here, but nothing went wrong either. It's a place I would feel safe with my family, though when I stayed here I was alone. I would recommend this location.
This is a good place to stay when you have to catch a flight out of Hartsfield the next day. The shuttles to the airport are free (they accept tips graciously instead of grubbing for money like some do), and they run on time and fairly often. Parking at the hotel is free if you stay there. You can pay to park there instead of at the airport during your trip -- just talk to the front desk. The rooms are okay -- standard Ramada type rooms. The restaurant leaves a lot to be desired, but there are other restaurants nearby. Overall, I'd highly recommend the Ramada because of the location UNLESS you're looking for a resort-type atmosphere. That's one thing you definitely won't find here.
