My Mother's Restaurant
I tried this place on a whim and was pleasantly surprised. The food was actually like homemade. They had meatloaf, spaghetti, fried chicken and there mashed potatoes were great. Its a quite little spot and isn't very attractive but these seem to be the best places. They take pride in there food.Give them a chance and you will be craving their food.
Gourmet House Of Hong Kong
From the outside it looks pretty run down. It usually looks empty,but dont let that fool you. The food is killer. There egg rolls are the best around so far! There pork fried bar b que rice is delicious as is there chicken with vegetables. I am a huge fan of their wonton soup. Give them a try they wre voted bets of phoenix by the news times numerous times.
Carolina's Mexican Food
A home turned restarunt located in a neghborhood. The lines can be long but they are worth the wait. There tacos are delicious the meat is really tenedered and seasoned just right. The tortillas are the best and there around two dollars a dozen if you go in the evening you can purchase day old tortillas for one dollar a dozen.
Rito's Mexican Food Inc/take
A long time favorite here in phoenix! This is actually a take out restraunt from a home in a neighborhood. The food is so good . The menu is small. There are tacos burritos and beans and rice and a cheese crisp but you wont be dissapointed with any of it. The line is crazy so call and order ahead if your on a lunch break.
Pete's Fish & Chips
You can get a two piece fish and chip for three dollars or a monster burger with petes secret sauce for ninety nine cents. The secret sauce alone is what draws me. Its a spicy ketchup similiar to cocktail sauce but not bitter. The food is good here and you can feed a family for under twenty bucks.
Native New Yorker
On tuesdays you can have wings at 25 cents a piece mix and match them from honey to suicide! There happy hour is pretty good. If your looking for a meal try a broccoli and cheese potato and chili in a sourdough bread bowl , the best I have had yet.There is a sports theme here so its a great place to ocme out and catch a ga,e while you enjoy the food!
Nypd Pizza
I wasnt to certain about this palce, I found it on accident actually. I am glad i did becasue there crust is awesome! There bread knots are killer as well, and you should give the minstrone a try. There is indoor and outdoor seating available. Out door is equipped with misters which is nice in these heat! They also have subs and pasta dishes I havent had the pleasure of trying yet. One thing is sure there pizza alone is terrific.
Carlos O Brien's Mexican Food
Have the little bit of everything, its the best. Cheese is everywhere in this place they pile it on and there chips and salsa are awesome. The food is good and they have a full bar as well. The prices are reasonable. Service is great and the staff is always friendly. Thsi is one of my favoritse now and i was alittle skeptical before trying the food.
Bill Johnson's Big Apple
From breakfast to dinner there food is delicious and filling! They have steaks and my favorite meatloaf. The wagon wheeler sampler will stuff you before your food arrives and there apple cobbler well its a must. The atmosphere is intresting too. As a kid I loved the saw dust on the floors and teh bars on the windows like a western jail. The waitresses carry fake pistols and talk with accents.
Finish Line
I usually look here before anywhere becasue they carry all and have in stock what im looking for about ninty percent of the time. They also can order it if not. The sales are pretty good. You can usually find good deals on accesories like cleaners and socks. Definately a better choice than foot locker.
