For a pasta lover, this place is a dream come true. Everyone is friendly and knowladgable, and the store itself is reminscent of New York City in its chic delishisness. Wine, supplies, a deli--unfortunatly, its a little spendy, but you'll feel good while spending the money!
the little strip on Hawthorne is complete with rare/unique records, cds, and tapes, musical instruments, and friendly, helpful employees. Has a very hip vibe.
I spent 2 weeks total in this hospital under severly traumatic circumstances, and I think honestly this is the best hospital in the entire world. Entertaining for children, incredibly skilled specialists, sympathetic RNs, anything at your beck and call....Plus, if you went there as a child and dont want to switch, they allow you to continue using them as your primary hospital.
From the cute old ladies at the greeting station to the everpresent array of fruit juices, water, tea, fresh fruit, and pastries, to the beautiful murals covering the walls of the entire hospital, this is my number 1 choice for *not* feeling like I'm in a hospital!
Even though I lived 15 miles away in a diffrent state, this library was worth paying the $80 a year or whatever it cost, to have access. The childrens room, especially, is wonderful.
Although some part of me recognizes the irony in how places like this just popped up right around the same time yoga got trendy, I am still glad that SoBerwick is reaching out from its red-neck status to include a hip coffee shop and bookstore. Although small, with limited selection, this store has a great vibe, friendly employees, and some of the better patrons in the town.
I will be ten times more likely to go ANYWHERE if the are serving stumptown! so freaking good! Plus, this location is easy to get to, has its own parking, and friendly staff!
How can you go wrong with lazer tag?? This place is easy to find, not too crowded, reasonably priced, and the music is even less annoying than many other Lazer tag venues!
I live in one of their apartment properties, and cant freakin wait to get out of it! The building was recently purchased by these guys, and they are renovating it quickly, but seem to be incapable of fixing problems in the apartment themselves. My shower was unusable from March 12-July 9th, they "fixed" my toilet just to have it break that afternoon (thank god i'm not paying h2o!), and my stove is leaking gas--something i informed them of over a month ago!! Hows that for responsible. The outside of the building is looking really nice though...<<<sarcastic humor>>>
Your typical salon, typical prices, typical service...I would suggest slightly less 'institutional' decor--isn't it supposed to be relaxing, not reminiscent of a DR.s office?? She didn't hurt me while working on my cuticles though, which always makes or breaks the deal for me!
