January 2005, I used a broker from this company and it was horrible. Not only did the company not disclose their insanely high brokers fee until the very end of the long and toturous deal they also managed to pressure me into a decision I was not comfortable with. I was pushed into what I later found was a mouse infested, roach infested, spider infested house. The landlord is so bad I am going to have to begin my first lawsuit!
CONS: horrible all around
This laid back office full of energy seems to know how to mingle their way into deals just right. They have a residential and commercial division. Their SOHO office is a convenant stop from many trains.
PROS: commercial residential
A company that was first reccomended by my real estate broker. I will now glady reccomend this company to others. They have proven they are smart, easy going and work quickly during crunch time.
PROS: quick professional easy-going
Although it seems easier to hit "buy" on demand, I would suggest a trip down to video cafe. They not only have great new release but also a wide array of old classics as well. A random yogurt machine greets you at the door. Get a cup. Also they have "Hell's Kitchen" tee shirts for sale.
PROS: hells kitchen, classic movies, yogurt
CONS: odd hours
Strand Bookstore is a great place to not only find books but also surround yourself with people different than you'll find anywhere else in the city. A variety of hipsters and smarty pants from NYU are also sprinkled in the scene.
PROS: Location people
This easy going Midtown bar attracts a mix crowd of afterwork suits from the Times Square area. Also many musicians, writers and artists find their way over from the Film Center Across the Street.
This downtown vintage haven is a city style mecca. This storye keeps up to date with old trends. Screaming Mimi attracts people vying for that city look. CIty style diversity in orginal peices.
PROS: vintage clothing
This pricey lounge located in New York's popular Meat Packing district has that kind of character that mimic's the glam "Sex and the City" scene. The menu focuses on mostly fish and is a good choice for a seen and be seen kind of dinner. It's a good choice for a night out. A pick among celeb's such as...P.Diddy, Sandra Bullock, Matthew McConnahay, and many more rappers, sports stars and fashionistas.
PROS: celebrity sightings
CONS: very selective door
