This bakery is very cute and quaint. The bakery has cupcakes which are so dense and huge. you can cake other cakes , snacks and coffee as well. Their is limited seating and sometimes lines. It is in a great location and has very friendly service.
This is a very professional and friendly place to go, great location. The hairstylists and colorists were very knowledgable and helpful with suggestions. The waxing services were made very comfortable and easy. The prices are high for hair, but this what Frederick Fekkai is known for, haircuts are amazing, its worth it.
Bliss Spa is a chain, they offer many treatments, including facials, nails, body treatments and at this particular location hair as well. I was told that this is the only location in NYC to have a hairstylist on premises because it is located near the W Hotel which owns them and its for the convienance of the clients at hotel. The haircut was pricey $100.00, the stylist was unprofessional with the recomendations and personal cell phone calls. I was taken into my appointment 20 minutes late, then rushed through the service, even though they claim to give you an hour service and there was no pampering at all. There is typically a waiting room at Bliss Spas in between services where you can get a snack and relax, when you are getting a haircut, you do not get offered those perks.
Prestige Car Rental has very good prices. In the summertime the prices rise a bit to $62. daily on the weekends, but usually its the best deal in town. Pre and post summertime prices you can get a midsized car, unlimited miles for $55.00. The office is small where you pick up the cars, the drop off is easy,24 hours and the service is friendly.
PROS: Cheap & 24 hour drop off
CONS: Book ahead of time, cars run out quick
The cakes here are amazing, they are always very dense. Their is a great selection for cake fillings, frostings and pretty much any type of decoration on top they'll do. Cupcake Cafe also has amazing cupcakes, of course, danishes, other great selections of muffins as well as tea and coffee.
PROS: You can order a cake only a day before for pickup.
CONS: All sweet stuff, not too much with nutritional value.
Croxley Ale House is a quaint bar in the heart of the Lower East Side. The bar/restaurant is always busy. There are plenty of TVs strategically located around the bar for sports lovers. The nights to go are Mondays and Wednesdays for 10 cent wings, worth the wait for a seat. The service was friendly and a young crowd.
PROS: Monday and Wednesday nights 10 cent wings nights.
CONS: Waiting for a seat, you can get filled up on beverages.
This supermarket, which was once a 24 hour spot, is usefull when Key Foods is not open in this Brooklyn neighborhood. It is located in a primarily Polish neighborhood in Brooklyn, NY, so a lot of their products cater to the Polish people and the employees are Polish as well. They have a little bit of everything, but not varieties like low fat Peanut butter or Charmin toilet paper. There are not too many options, but they have one of everything. The fruits and vegetables could be fresher and the freezer a little less freezer burned. You can usually find most of what you are looking for and the beer there is pretty cheap. The store is confusing the way it is set up as well, so ask before you give up on finding an item.
This music store is in the middle of Amherst, MAss, which has tons of little shpps. This store has lots of CDS for less than ten dollars and below retail. The staff makes custom labels on all their CDS, which is unique. They carry a lot of classic vintage as well as new releases. You can also grab some cassette tapes, which might not be available at other music stores nowadays. I always enjoy the experience of popping in and seeing what the deals for the week.
This salon has custom fit false nails, for only twenty dollars. I had never heard of fake nails that were resonsibly priced, did not harm your nails and lasted a month. There was no chemicals at all used and you can eith return back to remove or do it yourself at hom. I was so satisfied with the service. The technician was super sweet and fun. I had a great experience and would do it again for an event or quick and affordable fix on nails.
