Plato's Closet
This is a consignment store for teens. They have a large selection of clothes at great prices. The store is clean and well organized. They have a wide variety of clothing. Hats, belts. Its in a great location off cooper in s. Arlington. If you go you have to try the Mongolian grill next door!
Fashion Bug
Fashion Bug use to have great clothes but I think they have gone down hill with the trnds they are carrying. The need to focus on the career women and not completely the social women. Its getting harder and harder to find clothes sutable for work in their stores. They also slowed down on the coupons sales and most items in the start are marked that "price just right" so you cant use coupons with them anyway. Their other items have gotten very expensive too. I would just wait and try to catch a great sale.
Dress Barn
The Dress Barn carries a great variety of clothes for work and play. I love their selections and the prices are just right too. I had never shopped there until resntly when I was looking for a dress for a wedding and found so many great items I didnt know what yo do! I bought so much and found a great dress for the wedding. I cant wait to go shopping again for some more wonderful stuff.
Penske Truck Rental
Two years ago, I rented from Penske, came with unlimited mileage. I was moving from Arizona to Texas. Rented it from Phoenix from a oneway rental, which mean Idont have to return to the same place, and drove down to Texas. Because of the unlimited mileage, it saved me some money. One thing I like about Penske is that they are eager to match competitors prices.
Rack Room Shoes
I don't think customers would like to come back again for anything other than cheaper designer shoes. The customer service is bad, and the managers... they don't know how to manage. The floor could be messy sometimes, and there're like 30 camaras on the ceiling that watch you. But if you want to look for a pair for cheap designer shoes, go there. It gots tons of shoes, heels, sandle, comfortable shoes, tennis shoes...etc. Good luck finding one there.
Kid To Kid
This baby cosignment store is okay. They have the standard mix of baby clothes, toys, books, and other products but you kind of get a dingy feel in this place. Given this dingy feeling, the prices aren't so great and you can usually find the same or better quality product on Craigslist. However, if you are looking for a specific item and don't have to drive too far to get here, it's worth a look-see.Recently I was looking for a child bike seat. The store had one, in the box with a manual...the retail price was $99 and they were selling the 3 year-old used item for $45, which isn't that bad, I suppose.
While you may be better off at a garage sale or on Craigslist, but if you don't have the time to bother, you might find what you're looking for here.
Gymboree
It is just way too overpriced. Never buy anything unless it is on sale. It will go on sale eventually. These are quality and cute clothes which you will get great wear out of. The clothing lines they carry are very cute and resell well after your kids are done with them. The staff are fairly helpful. Can get busy sometimes. They have a tv with videos for kids.
Stripling & Cox Department Stores
Service is slow... you can spend as much time in check-out as you did shopping.
I buy tons of stuff for my Dad and Husband here... I love that they have "big man" sizes for just about everything (for my Dad), and normal sized stuff too (for my husband).
The quality of their clothes is a class above other discounters like Walmart and Target. The stuff I buy doesn't shrink or fade. The material is slightly better. But if you're used to shopping at Dillards, this is a step down. Not a big step, but there is a difference.
Tru Green Landcare
This is a local company that makes big promises to make your lawn the best it can be. They start off well, and your lawn looks better. Then it starts to look worse than it did before you started service.
My next door neighbor used them and she always complained about all the weeds in her lanwn and said she did better when she just did it on her own.
This neighbor has a fence around her property which must be unlocked for them to come in and do the service. One day she came home to find the lawn with a tag meaning it had been sprayed. But it was impossible for that to happen, as the worker could not have brought in the equipment he needed, as her gate was locked. She was very upset and they promised to come right back out, weeks later, no show.
She cancelled and I've heard other stories like this from other friends. I would not use them, I'd rather do it myself than pay this much and get no results.
