This is the closest kid's "salon" to my house in Foxmoor. I have gone here a few times and have always found it to be slow. My 5 year old needs to be attended to right away or he will not want to leave the toy area to get his hair cut. The good news is that if you get in right away, your child can watch a video while getting a haircut. The hair dressers are very friendly and kid oriented.
You MUST have an appointment there are no walk-ins.
This is my son's pediatrician and he has been seeing her since he was born and is now 5. Anna speaks Polish and English and has a population of Polish immigrants who use her for their kids. I find her assistants to be great! Mary is very patient with my son and has little gimmicks to keep his attention away from shots and other poking and prodding. The accounting office is not up to par but they get it together after a couple of tries.
My son has not be very sick so we only go when needed but he never cries about having to go.
I was referred here for the "dreaded mammogram" and while I was not eager to go they made the experience as positive as possible. I waited for under 5 minutes and was then brought into the changing room (which was private) and then taken to the mammogram room where a VERY nice nurse empathized and explained. I was in and out in about 30 minutes! Yahoo!
This vet is located right on the border of the Mercer County Park and the grounds are beautiful. My Golden Retriever loved this vet and even though she was nervous she calmed down right away because was cared for in a very gentle way. While pet care and meds can be expensive, this vet is comparable to other local vets. This vet is well established in the community.
This cleaner is friendly, close to work and they do a good job. I have dropped off clothes on my way to work and have been able to quickly get in and out of the business, whether dropping off or picking up my clothes. I recommend them because their costs are comparable to other local cleaners and they are convenient and reliable!
This is a tremendous flea market! As a teen I used to love making a Saturday morning outing out of our trip to Englishtown. There is lots of parking but it can be messy of there has been lots of rain. The prices and variety are great! Lots of ventors are at the flea market every weekend and then there are also the "garage sale" folks who buy a table and sell their stuff. My neighbor used to rent a table once during the summer and loved being there and sold lots of stuff. It's a little overwhelming but worth the walk!
This is a new liquor store in a new mall. I went to Canal's looking for a bottle of wine and found so many choices! I ended up spending over 1/2 an hour looking at the huge selection of wine and liquor. The wide variety was overwhelming and it will definitely be a place I hit prior to my next party! I recommend it for anyone looking for the usual or unique "spirit."
I love this store! The owner of this store only takes the best items on consignment. She always has beautiful strollers, toys and LOTS of clothes. I always find great items for my son and his friend. At the rate my son grows I try to find good consignment clothes first and then I supplement that. This is one of my first stops!
This is a huge thrift store that carries clothes, shoes, kitchen items, linens, and toys. I have been there a number of times and have found great worn-in jeans in both my size and my son's. I have also bought items to use in my classroom as an 8th grade teacher. The store is clean, has lots of parking and is easily accessible by car.
This store is located in the Foxmoor Shopping Center and has ample parking. Some of my retired neighbors frequent the store and make the coffee shop section their meeting place. My son and I go there for treats after dinner or if he is good while I do my grocery shopping in the market in the mall. The candy is good and my neighbors rave about the coffee.
