I found a great place to store my stuff during a recent move. Fran, the manager of Garden Highway Mini Storage was very friendly and helpful. The cost was comparable to other places but the ease of getting a unit was much better then any where else that I called. I am not sure if the units start under $59 a month but it sure is worth the piece of mind to know that the storage is secure and not just anyone can get in. I feel better knowing that even with the lock that I purchased from the office at the mini storage (I think it was only $8), I wouldn't have to worry about my stuff being unsupervised. I have yet to find it dirty outside the area around the mini storage as well. It seems that someone keeps the leaves and things cleaned up very well.
I don't know if its the location or the owners or what but this place is hard to find if you don't know the area. I have never found it to be open even after seeing advertisement in a local paper. I have called several times while looking for places to donate my good used clothing and toys but have yet to get anyone to answer the phone.
After recently losing more then 100 lbs I needed to find somewhere to purchase clothes as the weight was coming off to quick to buy new clothes I found the Thrifty Bargain Thrift Shop. The cashiers are freindly and helpful when you are searching for something specific. One Wednesdays they offer deeper discounts but every day they are open they offer certain color tagged items at 50% and 75% off the marked price. Not only could I get clothes to wear while my weight was quickly going down but they also accept good, clean donations as well. I was able to get rid of the stuff that no longer fit as I was getting clothes that did. I sometimes have a hard time finding parking close by as they share a parking lot with a furniture rental shop and a dollar store in the same area but otherwise its a great place to shop for great bargains. The cashiers also speak spanish (everyone I have ever seen working) so this helps as well if you speak spanish.
3 Day Blinds offers custom made blinds in 3 days but its hard to catch the girls who work there and the store hours are hard to find. It appears that you should call ahead to let them know your coming or you might get there to find no one at work. The quality of thier service is great and the prices are good but the customer service is scare. I'd almost recommend someone else locally but don't know who.
Bartelt offers great programs for kids who struggle with learning or just need a challenge to learn more. The price is really high but when you consider that your child will do better in school then how can you put a price on your child's education. The Bartelt's are caring, generous people who truely care about education. They do offer reduced rates for the schools who refer students to them. The list isn't very long but if you can get into their programs your child is sure to come away with tool to further their education. They are located in the Raley's Shopping Center so they are easy to find.
PostNet can handle all your printing needs from labels to business cards to banners. The prices are great, the customer service is above average for the local area. The average price for printing a banner is $6 per sq. ft. The owners are always willing to offer a quote before they start a job. PostNet also offers shipping services with all of the major carriers, UPS, FedEx, DHL and the United States Postal Service. The other thing that I like about PostNet is they offer mail box services even for people who don't have a mailbox with them. For a $2 charge they can sign for your packages and you can pick them up at the store. Whats more, they have a great selection of greeting cards, bubble mailers and boxes, some even look like they are gift wrapped. They offer plenty of parking in a shopping center that also has large stores like Hollywood Video, Raleys, Toy's R Us and many other small stores as well.
Jeff does an amazing job of capturing great photographers of everything from interior design, landscape, wedding, and several other areas as well. He prefers to do black and white but does leave the photos in color so that you can print what you like as well. I have seen several of his wedding albums and think that if your looking for a great person to listen to your needs and capture your photos then Jeff is the person to call. He is easy to work with and has great rates. Jeff is willing to travel locally and out of town as well, this makes him accessible.
The variety of activities is huge! Our children range in age from 6 to 13 and we all had a great time with activities to entertain even my husband. If you are looking for something to do indoors this is a great place. There is several floors of activities and an IMAX theater. The movies vary by day so I'd check it out to see whats playing. We watched a 3D movie today that was very entertaining. Even young infants were quiet through the 45 minute movie. My children each had a different favorite activity but we all had a great time.
I'd also recommend getting a family pass if you like science and live anywhere in Western Washington. Another suggestion is to bring a pick nick lunch or plan to purchase food from the food court.
PROS: Family pass, great hours, huge variety of activities,
The staff is friendly enough but when I dropped off my husbands vehicle to have some work done, I got several calls saying they couldn't find this or that, they couldn't remove the face plate on his radio and didn't know the answers to hardly any of the questions I asked.
I left the vehicle there anyway and it took them a week to get it complete. After picking it up there was something else wrong that wasn't wrong when we dropped it off. I was very disappointed in the work that was done to it. After over $2000 the vehicle has more problems then when we dropped it off.
PROS: friendly staff
CONS: didn't give the estimate for everything that was wrong, bad customer servic
When moving to Washington State I learned the hard way how to go about getting my vehicles licensed. Unlike other states that I have lived in you go to seperate businesses to get the title and registration and insurance on your vehicles. When purchasing a new vehicle I found that not all Licensing Agencys are the same. Lacey Auto and Boat Licensing has good parking, friendly employees and rarely a wait. The rates are the same at every licensing agency in the local area but the wait and parking at not. I would recommend this location if you are in the area or if you don't have time to stand in line. The business hours are 9-4pm monday through friday.
PROS: quick and friendly service
CONS: They close early
