On the corner of 23rd and Broadway, this nice little park is a completely different place in the night and the day. During the day, it is crowded and full of people eating, playing in the grass and filling up the many benches. At night it is quiet and peaceful, and the space doesn't even look the same. There is also a lot of new, abstract structures.
Conveniently located off 5th Avenue, this park is a great place for New School University and NYU students to hang out between classes. There is plenty of seating in the park, some dog parks, some playgrounds, chess tables, and of course the Washington Arch. Only complaint is it can get a bit crowded and there seems to be more concrete than green.
We didn't expect them to be as nice as they were. We asked a guy from one department a question about another department, and he took the time not only to answer it but to make recommendations to us about it. Getting the correct exit for this IKEA is very tricky, especially if travelling north on the turnpike, so don't be surprised if you end up passing it.
Their system of helping you at the genius bar is annoying and can create very long delays, but they will serve you no matter what, even hours after they close, and they are very friendly and helpful.
Great prices but never have anything in stock. You'd think being attached to an art school, they would have a lot of supplies, but they don't and haven't for years. The staff is very helpful, though.
An artist's dream come true, great prices, they are over four floors. Any project you could possibly think of, you'll find the supplies you'll need here.
This fast food Mexican place uses fresh ingredients and makes everything right in front of you, kind of like going to Subway. They have great tacos and burritos, they make their own unique recipes as well. Their grilled vegetables are great, and go great in any of the combinations, in the tacos or nachos.
Convenient location, clean and fairly friendly staff. They have a great selection of fitness and dance classes that are free for members. The classes run at all times of day, they are convenient and easy to attend. This Y offers great discounts for New School University students as well.
Great meals for the money, but the waiters and waitresses--while they bring your meal out what seems to be almost instantaneously--are overworked, and leave you hanging when all you need is a soda refill. All the tables are also uncomfortably small and close together. Fun place to go with great food.
worst.margarita.ever. This Friday's is always packed, and the prices are higher than any other Friday's even though the food is not better. One taste of that margarita and we were out.
