This staff is ill-equipped to handle the openings of big release games. I got on line opening day to buy Halo 2, and I had to wait an hour just to find out that they didn't have anymore special editions. Any other store would have made announcements if they ran out, to prevent this from happening.
Incredible prices, incredible service. They make sure to check with you at any indication that your printing might contain something that you did not intend it to.
This Lenscrafters location is not only very convenient, being located in the mall, but it is also very nice. They fixed our (minorly) broken glasses for free and were very helpful and nice about it.
I needed to get my watch fixed, and they were very rude to me and were going to overcharge me for a little piece of glass. They also said they needed to keep my watch for 2 weeks to do this, when I found that none of this was necessary at another store.
This store has a courteous staff that is willing to work with you, and that offers discounts on bulk framing. These are the best prices I've found in the NY area.
The staff at this Gamestop is always very nice. I always do my pre-orders there, and they give me a call when it comes in. They also do special orders.
Located in the Newport Mall, there is nothing that really stands out about this place, good or bad. The staff is nice and helpful with pre-orders, but they always seem to have the same used games.
NY Cares organizes volunteers to participate in projects of all kinds all over the city. Most of the projects take place outside of the 9-5 work day to make it more convenient for volunteers, and there is no need to worry about long-term committments or excessive training. It is a great way to get involved in making NYC a better place.
One of the more decent CVS's, this specifically is the only good place in the area to go to get any drug-store type things. They are fairly nice here, not exceptionally so but also not rude. They have a pretty good selection of items, and of course the pharmacy as well, and a 1 hour photo.
Fair and courteous staff will diagnose your computer problems and offer you alternatives before proceeding and sticking you with a bill. The only problem I've encountered is the fact that you have to take a number and wait to be called, which can sometimes mean you'll be there for awhile. But they do have cool little ancient 25 cent Coca-Cola bottles to quench your thirst while you wait!
