Not only do they have a great selection, and a spacious, quiet store--they do great deals on used books for school. My professor had them order all of the books we were going to use for the semester in that class, and they personally assembled enough sets of used copies for the class. We all got great deals without any hassle.
Great place to get good prices for bulk items. But they also have discounted prices for products that are not in bulk. You have to be a member to shop there, and there is a yearly cost to join, but you get reward checks back and it's easy to make back more than the cost of joining.
This Rite Aid is probably the worst pharmacy I have ever been to. The employees are incredibly rude, and they often ignore the customers and leave them waiting at the cash registers while they talk to each other or other customers. I would not recommed using this Rite Aid if you can avoid it.
Another one of those tiny mexican take out places, The Big Enchilada actually does have some room to eat in. Their food is good, quality food, and you get a lot of it for the price of (if not less) a meal at Taco Bell.
Texess doesn't have the greatest service--not rude, but indifferent--but they have some great food. The chicken is delicious, and they have amazing potato salad. The prices are also really cheap, and they offer lunch deals for students.
Cute little coffee shop, great for a quick stop on your way to work. They have the best, cheap Mochachinos and delicious yogurt muffins--but beware, they tend not to finish stirring your drinks!
This excellent mexican restaurant and bar has all home cooked food by members of the family. It's dark, crowded and noisy, but the atmosphere is upbeat and the staff is very friendly.
Fairly large and accessible, as far as Manhattan stores go, Adorama has a very friendly staff and almost anything you are looking for in the way of photography.
This is a great, small, progressive university in the heart of the village. The only problem is they are terrible with paperwork and there is really no campus, but the classes are small and engaging, and I've never learned as much in any other environment as I have here.
