When I was looking at changing careers - I approached this company due to a listing on their website. I scheduled an interview and when I went to the place to fill out forms - I was left waiting for 20 minutes while I listened to these women just talk. They had forgotten about me! So when I finally made my prescence known - they set down and had an interview with me and tried to push different jobs that I wasn't interested in on me. The jobs I was looking for I was told that I was overqualified for and she didn't think I would find what I was looking for. I was very discouraged that this company didn't really try and help me out at all and left me bitter at the employment industry!
CONS: Rude, unhelpful
I ventured into this store on a whim and was pretty excited with all of the finds! While there are definitely some "trashy" things inside this store - you can always come out with some great deals. They carry everything from storage containers to cleaning supplies to decorations. It takes some time to go through things and asses the quality but they have a great selection with changing inventory. It kind of reminds me of a thrift store but everything is new! Check often for the best deals.
PROS: Great deals, wide inventory
CONS: have to search through lots of items
Hallmarks are always known for their great cards and gifts but each one is different depending on the owner. I was very impressed with this one for carrying such a variety of candles, figurines, holiday items, etc. They have such a variety that it's hard to not walk away with something for yourself. Plus this is a hallmark where I never felt like the salespeople were annoyed if I just came and looked around.
Game Crazy has just about every video game, psp, xbox, etc. that you could possibly ever want or need. The staff is very helpful and eager to help with any questions that you have. I am not into these things and was looking for someone else and they were patient in explaining and helping me out. Video games are all about the same price so in that area they are no different. But they have many things under one roof which is convenient.
Dr. Greene is a very good eye doctor and has a great staff. They use the most modern technology in all of their rooms and take the time to really explain what is going on with your eyes. You are not pressured into buying contacts or glasses from them either. I appreciated the honesty and the time that was taken to go over my questions and concerns.
PROS: Technology, friendliest of staff
Egyptian Secrets is a salon that is tucked away in a strip mall off of Gilbert Road. You walk into a very tranquil environment that is decorated in a "Egyptian" style - you almost feel like you've stepped back in time. They offer everything at this salon from body wraps to massages to your hair cuts. I love how they give you a complete 5 minute head massage when you are just getting a basic hair cut! The prices really are pretty decent and they offer many different packages.
PROS: Cool atmosphere, lots of services
I love Paradox salon. Everyone is always so friendly and they offer you a cold soda or water when you go in. They are very reasonable in their pricing and offer ever service you could need. You could go with any of the girls that work here and come out with a great haircut. They are upfront on their charges and don't try and push you into getting more done than you want.
PROS: Great price, friendly service
Gold's Gym is a very basic gym. I enjoy it because they do have plenty of equipment and decent classes. It's your no-frills place to work out. The workers aren't the friendliest but some people prefer that! I wish they would offer more classes and classes later in the day but that's my only complaint.
PROS: Lots of equipment, a women's weight section
CONS: Not enough class options
I like going into Trade Secret when I'm in the mall because it's the time when I usually remember that I need hair products. Their prices are about the same that you would pay in a professional salon for the products but they do offer many package deals that are worth the money. So if you are going for convenience - stop here.
Mesa Frozen Yogurt is a place that I have frequented many times during the summer and winter alike. They change their 6 flavors every day and keep a calendar that will tell you what flavors will be available on what day. Their prices are very reasonable! They will let you put two flavors in a cup at no extra charge and everyone is always friendly. I only wish they had more outside seating! They are stuck in a strip mall but location doesn't stop the place from being busy almost all of the time. Try the Tart Raspberry or the peanut butter flavors.
PROS: Great deal
