Electric Factory

This place is too big to see any band. The balcony offers the option of leaving the under 21 crowd below, but that doesn't quiet make up for the fact that all the sound gets lost in the cavernous space. Chances are tickets for this venue will be relatively high too. You're better off seeing a show at a smaller venue with cheaper tickets, if you have the option.

More Than Just Ice Cream

This place has a great selection of sundaes made with hard ice cream or soft. They have a medium sized variety of flavors and toppings. Not the most exotic array of flavors but the quality is really good.

John Beirs Stained Glass Std

This store is a cool space with an ok selection of houseware. The stained glass is really the selling point for checking out this store. The owner is a stained glass artisan and has done some amazing pieces.
Well worth checking out.

Black Cat

They have the best aromatherapy bath products at Black Cat. Bath salts and soaps that smell awesome and leave you relaxed or energized. All natural ingredients and cute packaging. They're great for gifts too.

University of Penn Kelly Wri

This is a great place for workshops and readings. Writing groups offer great feedback and constructive criticism and readings are a great way to test your mettle in a room full of writers. Check out the website for more info on groups to join or readings to attend.

Papery Of Philadelphia

This place has so many cool cards and stationary sets, pens and stickers! They also do invitations and sell photo albums. There are lots of great things to look at. Interesting and unique wrapping paper too!

Wooden Shoe Books

This place has great tshirts and patches with strong political messages as well as a large variety of political books. Great place to get uncensored political books.

Foodarama Caterers Inc

I've used Foodarama at several business events and have always been happy with the results. Their lasagna tray is delicious as is their garlic bread and ceasar salad. They will work with you to get you the best price for your needs as well.

Corner Bakery Cafe

This place is great for catering but doesn't have a van so it may not be able to deliver to your location. The other Corner Bakery can deliver.

Thier breakfast baskets are great for business breakfasts - with muffins and bagels and coffee and tea. Their lunch sandwiches are good as well.

Pumpernick's Deli Inc

Pumpernicks does a wonderful job catering for business events. Their cookie and brownie tray is a big hit with everyone and their hoagie platter is a great for large lunches.
