Two Boots Video Rentals

New York, NY Movie Rental Stores 10/12/05: 'These boots are made for walking'

The selection is not top notch but you can usually find a decent video to watch on a Friday night. To rent a video you will need a credit card info on file. Not the cheapest but better priced than Blockbuster. Plus it's near a bunch of pizzarias and chinese restaurant. So you can catch dinner and a show all on one block.

Essex Card Shop Inc

New York, NY Gifts & Novelties 10/12/05: 'fun gifts'

A very good gift shop that carries colorful pens, stationary and your basic gift cards. You can buy lotto tickets and notepads. The staff is very nice and helpful. The prices are very good. The pens are about three dollars. A very good selection of just about all kinds of gifts you can think of.

Hersheys Times Square Store

Willly Wonka eat your heart out! You can actually see the giant candy store a mile away. It looks like a garden of Hershey chocolate. They carry special edition candy in the store. Often packed with tourists but if you happen to find yourself around Times Square make yourself stop by and look around.

Time Hotel

A very comfortable hotel. The linens are really soft. The beds are incredibly comfortable. Even the bathroom is to die for. Be careful staying here. You may never want to leave. The hotel is small. Under 200 rooms. So its very cozy for a New York hotel. If you can afford a room then I suggest staying here.

The Door

New York, NY Youth Organizations 10/12/05: 'Come a knock on my door'

There's no name on the door. Just a gold gilded doors with 2 bouncers standing outside that's how you spot the place. What's really cool is that way in the back is the lounge there's a sectioned off room with a giant skylight. They have a D.J. on the weekends and the place starts rocking.

B & H Photo - Video

The mecca of photography stores. It's like a temple of worship for all camera buffs. Everything you ever wanted to have or learn about photography this is the store to go.The film is pretty cheap and the staff know what they're talking about. They also give you free candy. Don't ask me why.

Pommes Frites

Super yummy crisyp fries in giant paper cones. A great assortment of sauces. The fries come in 3 sizes They even have tables with holes to place the cones of fries in, but seating is limited. They also offer free samples up front. One of the best belgiam fries outside of belgiam.

St Marks Comics

New York, NY Comic Bookstores 10/12/05: 'I love a good comic'

One of the better comic book stores Saint Marks carries just about every genre there is from cutesy kid comics to japanese anime to triple XXX to hard to find comics. The staff is very into punk and know all about comics. They could probably recite comic history verbatim if asked. The store has been around for quite awhile.

Paramount Hotel

New York, NY Lodging - New York, NY Hotels & Motels 10/12/05: 'Hotel New York'

When entering the hotel the first thing you notice is how dark the lobby is. Which sucks if you want to relax and read before or while you're checked in. Some of the rooms are very small and hard to walk around in. Still the prices are fairly decent and it's in a good location. It's near all the great New York shops and restaurants.

Hudson Theatre

The Millenium Hotel is one of the fairly cheaper hotels in New York which isn't saying much since New York is home of the overpriced...everything. Still it's a very nice hotel. The decor is very warm and friendly, the staff is very nice and the prices really are not too bad. Try to grab a room when they are offering discounts.
