Xaverian High School
Xaverian continues its tradition of being an excellent high school for boys. Many of it's graduates continue on to competitive colleges and successful careers. I recently went back for a reunion and the building is just as beautiful and well maintained.
St Andrew The Apostle
This is a very plain church, but don't let that fool you. It's a great place of worship and people are very into studying the Bible. It's welcoming family atmosphere keeps parrishioners attending services here. I can't recommend a better church in Brooklyn.
Our Lady Of Perpetual Help Chr
This is a beautiful church of worship. The priests cater to the diverse population by offering services in different languages. It is an incredible church to step into and walk around in as well since there are many statues and pieces of art. Services here are a bit dry.
Brooklyn College
This is a great college with good professors. Education is reasonably priced and the work load is reasonable. Yet, if you ever need to get your records, leave yourself a lot of time because the people there are slow. Be sure to go there in a very good mood and don't let any rude people in the office ruin your day.
Brooklyn Public Library
I love the Brooklyn Public Library, but I don't love the entire staff there. The high school students love to help, but often the permanent staff is needed to order books. I hate ordering books because the person always complains that they have to give me paper. Then after you books come in, they don't call you and when you go to pick them up, someone complains that you didn't come in when you were called. It's just a very disorganized part of the library, I guess.
First Rate Funding
I went here and there was just so much dishonesty going on that I backed out before it was too late. I know many others who weren't so lucky. This place has two partners who will keep sending your information to different banks without informing you. All of the banks do credit checks so you only see later on how many banks they try to use to process information. I was lucky and didn't have this happen to me. Many of my friends were not so lucky and now suffer from very low credit problems and scores because of this place.
McKinley Public Library
McKinley Public Library is a nice local library. The only problems are that it is too small and there are limited hours that it is open. When it is open, the library is busy because they have a good collection of books and dvds. This library has a nice children's section and computers are always working.
Top One Nails
Candy and Karen are two of the top manicurists in this nail salon. It's a relaxing and very clean salon. They are able to take care of customers individually. Make an appointment if you wish to get services on the weekend.
Maimonides Medical Ctr
MAIMO is one of the best hospitals in the country. They are building another wing since the hospital has grown so much. In case of a biological emergency, staff at MAIMO have been trained to help assist victims. Everyone who has stayed at this hospital in my family has had an easy and comfortable stay.
Janet Rubinstein
Dr. Rubinstein saw my wife and my wife didn't feel comfortable with her. She isn't very friendly or welcoming. Her office is cold. It wasn't a good or bad visit, so I can't recommend her. People should feel welcome and made comfortable at a doctor's office and Dr. Rubinstein didn't meet that standard.
