Lavender & Lime Day Spa
Lavender and Lime Day Spa is the most beautiful, relaxing spa I have ever been to. The atmosphere and decor is so amazing I just wanted to lay down on the couch in the beautiful waiting area and listen to the fountain all day. It smells wonderful and I was offered strawberries and sparkling juice before my session. The aestheticians are very knowledgable and do excellent work. I got a facial and back facial and it was the most relaxing hour and a half that I have ever experienced. Everything about it was perfect. The temperature in the room, the smells, the sheets....everything was very high class and very relaxing. IThe prices are very comparable to any other day spa in the area, but this one is so much better. I highly recommend Lavender and Lime to anyone in the Greenwood area.
Table Rock Helicopters Inc
Table Rock Helicopters is a business that offers helicopter rides all over the Branson area. They are located right on the strip in Branson. They have 3 different ride packages ranging from a few miles (about 10 minutes of flight time) to several hundred miles that goes all over a decent portion of Missouri. The prices are a little steep, but the service is excellent. They give you a mini safety course before you board and then the helicopter pilot tells you about everything as you fly over it. This is something that both adults and children will love. There are excellent photo opportunities and the helicopters are very nice looking. We took a ride last summer and my children still talk about it all the time. If you don't mind spending the money, this is a great addition to a family vacation in Branson.
Engler Block
The Engler block in Branson, MO is a very unique gift shop located right on the strip in Branson. The minute you walk in this shop you know it is different. It smells great because there is a little snack/tea/coffee shop located in the store. They sell all kinds of unique ceramics, pottery, tea pots, and other handmade items. Some local craft items are for sale also. At Christmas time they have a HUGE display of trees with very unique ornaments on them all. The prices are very reasonable and it is never extremely crowded. The parking is great and there are other shops in walking distance of this one. If you are going to be in Branson I recommend a stop at the Engler Block.
Heritage House
The Heritage House is an excellent gift shop for decorating items, unique pieces, and bridal gift registries. This is THE place in town to register for wedding gifts. They sell all the most popular lines of china and crystal dinnerware and all the table linens, flatware, and flare to go with it. Their prices are higher than a normal department store, but since there is no department store in town, it just seems more convenient to go to the Heritage House and have it wrapped and delivered than to pay shipping from a department store. The staff are extremely helpful and nice, but the place does have a bit of a "snooty" atmosphere. Overall, the Heritage House is a nice, convenient place to get your wedding gifts and decorating items.
Lokomotion Family Fun Park
Lokomotion is a fairly large fun park with go-carts, miniature golf, bumper boats, laser tag, and lots of video/arcade games. The prices are high, but not higher than any other family fun park in the area. The park is very clean, neat, seems to be well cared for. They also have a pond with fish and a bridge that you can stand on and feed the fish. This is a place that is probably good for children 3-4 years old and up. Because of the way the place is spread out, parental supervision is a must. They also have a pretty large concession area and a place to redeem your tickets from the arcade games for dinky prizes. Overall, this is a fun place to go for an afternoon out, but be prepared to pay for it!
Westark Auto Glass
I recently had a chip in my windshild repaired at Westark Auto Glass. I was told to go there by my insurance company. They repaired the chip and I thought everything was fine. Then a few weeks later the spot started splintering out. I took it to another local windshield repair company and was told the first repair was very poor and that I was lucky my whole windshield hadn't splintered across. They repaired the place again, and since then I haven't had any trouble. I'm not sure I trust the work that Westark Auto Glass did and I dont' plan on returning their again.
Harps Bakery
Harps grocery store in Ft. Smith is one of my favorites. They are open 24 hours which is really nice for people who work odd shifts. They also double coupons to .60 which is a huge money saver for coupon users. I usually go to Harps at least once a week for their good deals in their weekly ad and to double coupons. They run really good weekly ads, but their usual prices are just a little high. So, if you want to save money, just buy the things that are on sale and that you have coupons for. They also have a large selection of organic foods. This grocery store is a great find that a lot of people don't really seem to know about!
Bedford Camera & Video Inc
We recently had some pictures made of our children at Bedford's in Springdale. The photographer was very impatient and didn't work well with the kids. The result was some of really bad pictures. Of the 25 proofs, not one was good enough to give as the gift that we had wanted for the grandparents. Since you have to pay a sitting fee to have the pictures taken, it was a big waste of money for us. I wouldn't recommend Bedfords for children's pictures and will go somewhere else next time I need pictures of my children.
Vmc Inc
VMC Incorporated is the place to locally buy a Kirby vacuum cleaner. We bought our Kirby a few years ago from a salesman that worked for VMC. The vacuum cleaner was WAY too expensive, but we do like it alot. The service since then has been good. The local headquarters sells vacuum cleaner bags, parts, and cleaning solutions that are needed for the vacuum. I wouldn't really suggest that anyone buy a Kirby because they are just too expensive, but if you do, or if you already have one, then VMC is a good place to get service and parts. The store is located in Barling in a very small building. It is kind of hard to find, but the people are always very nice and helpful.
Adventure Island
Adventure Island has a go-cart track, bumper boats, miniature golf, and small amusement rides for kids. This is a fairly small place and the prices are pretty high. The go-cart track is really fast and fun. They have several small kiddy rides that are great for small kids, but definitely not big enough for older kids or teenagers. We spent about an hour here and it was fun, but not really worth the amount of money it cost. The miniature golf course did look like it was in good shape, but we didn't try it out. This place was not busy at all, so if you don't want to run into crowds or wait in line, then this might be the place for you.
