Gaydon Kristal - Village Family Care

The staff at this office is very friendly and knowledgable. The receptionists are always so upbeat. The nurses and doctors take the time to listen and explain things. I have always detested having my blood drawn but these people are so good that I never feel the needle at all. The entire office is very clean and the waiting room has comfortable chairs and even and aquarium, which is very relaxing to watch the fish swim. Great practice for the entire family! One thing I need to say is if you need to make a left turn to get back on the road, be prepared for a long wait as there is no stoplight.

Barnes & Noble

This has two levels so if you love books, this is the place to go. Areas are marked so you can find the section(s) you want. Friendly staff that will walk you to the exact book you want and even look up books for you if you have forgotten the author. They have great sales too. Nice coffee area along with places to sit and read or relax. Very knowledgeable employees!

The entire staff I met was wonderful and very friendly. They took time to explain things and answer questions I had about the surgery. They treated my family just as nice as they did me. They even called a day or two later to check and make sure everything was going smoothly - which I find is rare these days. Very caring and compassionate people! Parking isn't too bad there, as elevators and stairs are always closeby.

Foot Locker

My son wanted a sports team hat for him and also his brother. This was the only store we could find that had the type he liked. While I feel a lot of merchandise is a bit overpriced, we did find a good deal to buy 1 hat and get the other for half off so that helped. Good selection of items we hadn't seen at other stores. Employees were very helpful.

Target Pharmacy

This Super Target store is always clean and neatly organized. Nice to be able to shop and also get groceries at same store. They have a deli/bakery area as well. They even have a pharmacy inside. The store is huge and so is the parking lot so very easy to find a parking space. Employees are helpful when you are trying to find an item. There is also a Starbucks inside which is a nice extra! This is located near several eateries, Staples and Home Depot as well. Just off Capital Blvd where the new 98 bypass will be.

Great Clips

No appointment is needed here but if you go on a weekend, you may have a wait, especially around lunch time. I received one of the best haircuts here about a month ago. The lady took her time and didn't rush even though there were a few customers waiting. She made sure I was satisfied before I left her chair too. Haircuts are only around $12 for adults I think, a bit cheaper for kids. Will definitely go back!

Sri Shoes

When you first walk in this place, it may not look like it has as many shoes. But try walking up and down those long aisles and you will soon discover there are literally tons of different shoes there. You can find dressy to casual, sandals to boots, even athletic shoes here. They also have a small assortment of handbags. I took my mother with me once and her only complaint was the aisles were too long and she wanted to rest before she got to the end. I wish they sold more wide width shoes but there are few to be found, at least in the larger sizes.

Shirley K's Uniforms

This place has a large selection of nursing uniforms, shoes and accessories. Many different sizes of most uniforms as well. I bought my last stethoscope there and have had it almost 10 year with no problems, a record for me. Employees offer to help but don't push you to buy or make a decision. They give you space to make your choices and are very friendly. The only problem I have is trying to get out of the parking lot around lunch time. Better to go earlier in the day or after 2pm.

Manhattan Bakery

Just open the door to this place and take in the wonderful aromas. They have great breads and all kinds of tasty pastries. Hungry for more than that? They offer delicious sandwiches, soups and salads too. One side has tables/ chairs to eat inside. Very relaxing and nice decor on the dining side. We have ordered pastries for dessert for a lunch meal at work and they always had everything ready and boxed as ordered. The only hard part of this place is trying to decide what to eat - so many great choices! Located in Tarrymore Square behind Vincent's Pizza. The staff is helpful but do not rush you.

A C Moore Arts & Crafts Store

This store has too many items to list but a few are art supplies, scrapbooking stickers, tons of craft kits, candy molds, floral supplies, holiday decorations, etc. They have the best prices on notepads and decorative flags too. I know when I stop here that I won't be leaving soon. They also hold different types of classes all along. I know in summer a lot of the classes are geared toward kids or kids and parents. Employees are very helpful too!
