Maple Grove Sinclair
There are a number of gas stations in Maple Grove, and the Sinclair station is just a short distance away from downtown Maple Grove. Many times the sales receipt from Cub Foods has a coupon for 3 off each gallon of gas. This station is on Hemlock Ave. with an easy entrance. All the gas prices in Maple Grove seem to be about the same price, so I go to Sinclair whenever I am in the area. The cashiers are always friendly and helpful. Have a change - try the Maple Grove Sinclair gas station.
Minnesota Zoo
Children love to go to the Minnesota Zoo to see all of the animals. It is a long distance from where I live, so I do not go there often. I do enjoy going down the different trails to see the different animals; such as the northern trail, the Minnesota trail and others. You get to see birds, turtles, monkeys, wolves, and so many more animals. It is best that you bring your own lunch, because the vendors charge a lot of money for their food. It is nice that you can rest while walking the trails. I believe that children still get in free on Tuesdays. The price of admission is not too high considering what you get to see. If you have never been to the Minnesota Zoo yet, I would highly recommend it to you. Enjoy the adventure.
Earle Brown Heritage Center
Twice a year I go to the Earle Brown Heritage Center for rubber stamping and scrapbooking conventions. First, I never have any trouble finding a place to park; lots of spaces. This center is always very neat and clean and a joy to enter their doors. This center has a very large convention center area where many different vendors display their products for us to shop and buy. The vendors are friendly and helpful, and some of them have "make n take" projects that they show us how to make and we get to take them home. This center is a little hard to find the first time that you go there. You start out on Highway 94 and go south on Shingle Creek Parkway. When you get to the intersection by Target, you take a left, then travel just a very short distance to the next left following the road around the area until you reach the Earle Brown Heritage Center.
Nails & Spa
This was my first time at this Spa for a pedicure. The gal was friendly and careful, and did a great job. It was a little hard because I jumped at times, because it tickled me! She massaged my feet and legs and put good lotion on them. My toes were painted the color that I wanted, and she painted a pretty flower on each of my big toes. I was pleased with the results, which I should be, because it was quite expensive, in my eyes. I would recommend them to others though. Enjoy!
Park Diamond
Park Diamond is a family owned and operated jewelry design firm. They have been in business for over 30 years. You can pick your design or design your own ring and then they will make it for you and put in the diamond of your choice. They do all of the work on their premise. They say that their prices are good because they have a low overhead. You can shop and compare to know for sure. They do appraisals and diamond quotes. This jewelry store is easy to find: right next to the Dairy Queen. They are closed on Sunday and Monday. Their hours are 10:00 A.M. until 6:30 P.M. Tuesday through Friday and 10:00 A.M. until 3:30 P.M. on Saturdays.
Calico Barn of Maple Grove Inc.
The Calico Barn is a place to go and buy all of the hand crafted items that people have made. They have been in business for 28 years or more. The large building is painted barn red with brown paint about it. The entrance looks like you are going to walk into a barn! This store is exceptional well organized and it is such a pleasure to go there to shop. I believe that the prices are similiar to prices of other hand crafted items sold elsewhere. If you have not been to the Calico Barn, I would recommend that you go and look. This store is not always open, so it might be best that you call first. Enjoy!
Valley Fair
This amusement park is very large with lots of expensive parking spaces for your convenience. You pay a flat fee and then all of their rides are free; like Disney World. I use to take my children there years ago, when they were young, now they take their children there! Children love the rides and all of the food that they can afford to eat. The prices of food is quite high and of course, the entrance fee is much higher than years ago. Everyone who goes there, young or old, has a lot of fun, especially on the rollar coaster! The water park is another great attraction for the children. Looking for a full day of fun, go to Valley Fair. I'm sure that you will be happy that you did.
Brad A. Weeks, OD
This Bass Lake Family Eye Care is easy to get to from Highway 494; just get off at Bass Lake Road and drive just a very short distance to the Bass Lake Center on your right. Dr. Weeks, and Dr. Jedlicka, Optometrists are so friendly and helpful, you lose your stress right away. Most insurances cover this eye clinic for your eye exams. They have designer glasses or contacts to pick from. The prices are comparable to most Optometrists prices. If you are looking for an eye doctor, I would highly recommend this facility to you. Enjoy!
St.Joseph's Parish Community
Some of my family are members of St. Joe's in New Hope. It is a contemporary setting and the church is big. There are so many friendly people, who attend there, that I always feel very welcome, when I visit. One woman of this church has many rubber stamps, paper, ink pads, ribbon, markers and much more to make home-made greeting cards. They open the activity room of this church twice a year, so that members of St.Joe's and their friends can come and stamp to their hearts content. They also have a lot of great food to offer everyone. You just pay $5 for each 6 cards that you make! It is definitely a great time for me to make cards and see the people again. If you are looking for a friendly church, to join, I would highly recommend this one.
Mallard Ridge
Mallard Ridge is a large apartment complex with many apartments with balconies. They are easy to spot because they are right on Maple Knoll Way next to Elm Creek Parkway. There is quite a bit of moving in and out there and the police and fire are called often. It would not be my first choice of apartments plus the rent is very high for what they get.
