Sometimes when we go on a weeks vacation, we call Suburban Taxi to take us to the airport because it is cheaper than to park your car for a week. Of course, this is if there is only four of us, and we don't have too much luggage! The Suburban Taxi is on call twenty-four hours. You are fully insured when you travel with them. If you live in the suburbs and need a taxi, I would recommend that you try this cab service. I think that you will be happy with your travels.
John's Auto Parts have been in business for as long as I can remember, and then some. Whenever my husband needed a part, it would call there to see if they had what he was looking for. They usually did! My husband would go out there from our home in south Mpls. to take the part off an old car and buy it. I was great fun for my husband. This business is open seven days a week, which is a help for those looking for used parts. If you are in need of used parts, I would highly recommend that you try John's Auto Parts.
I live a little over seven miles to Rogers, MN, which is not a bad distance for something that you are looking for. If you are looking for a day of pampering, here is the place to visit. They do massages, body wraps, hair cuts, color and style; facials, manicures, pedicures and much more. This salon is open every day of the week! They do have gift cards, if you are looking for a unique Christmas or birthday gift. Any woman or girl would enjoy this. Yes, it can get quite pricey, but you sure get what you pay for! I highly recommend this. Enjoy!
I live about 4 miles from this nursery, but go there fairly often during the spring and summer months. They have so many beautiful trees and flowers to pick from; and I love to just look at all of the colorful rocks and stones that they carry. If you need yard supplies, and have not shopped here, I would encourage you to shop at Fair's Nursery at least once. I'm sure that you would be back. Enjoy your shopping.
This hospital is a little further from me but I have taken my mother there for a few appointments because she really cared for her doctor, so did not want to switch to a doctor closer to her apartment. This hospital is run by Allina. There is a lot of parking and very easy to find. You can take either Universary Ave. or Central Ave. and get there. The nurses and doctor's are a group of caring professionals. The food is good because you have a wide choice to choose from each day, for the following day. I would recommend this medical facility, if you needed one.
PROS: Easy to get to
When my mother lived in Mora, a few years back, she always went to this medical center for her medical needs. I used to go with her quite often and I am happy to report that it is a very neat, clean, friendly place to go to. My mother had a favorite doctor there, so it was very hard for her to move so far away that it was too far to travel for her medical needs. They have excellent parking there and a good receptionist to help you. If you are looking for a doctor or medical center to go to, I would definitely recommend this one.
PROS: Friendly, easy parking
I live about 25 miles from the Mall of America, but my daughter and I enjoy taking my two youngest grandchildren there. Of course, their favorite place is the Camp Snoopy amusement park! It is a lot of fun watching them enjoy the rides. This mall is so large that it is overwhelming for most people, with over 500 stores to shop at. I like that they have free parking for everyone. If you have never gone to the largest indoor shopping center in America, I think that you should go there at least once! I prefer the week days, when it is less crowded. People do travel from all over the world to come to the Mall of America to shop! Imagine that!
PROS: Lots of great shops
CONS: Very large
This is a large hospital in Robinsdale, MN. where I had open heart surgery about a year ago. Most of the nurses and doctors are caring, understanding, and friendly, yet professional. The food was good and you had many choices to choose from. The heart section of the hospital is brand new and very lovely. No one wants to go to a hospital, but if you "have to", I would recommend this hospital to anyone. It is quite crowded because there is no other hospital for many miles.
PROS: A caring place
This care center is located on the north side of Bass Lake Road, and is in a very nice setting with trees, etc. I know a number of people who live there and like it very much. They have very caring nurses and some of the people can take care of themselves, more than others. The people who I know enjoy the food and the activities that they have for them. If you are looking for a care center for one of your loved ones, I think that it would be worth your while to go there to check it out. It is easy to get there.
CONS: Pricey, but aren't they all?
This is a senior's building in New Hope, just behind the KMart store on County Road 9 (or also named Rockford Road). My mother has lived there for a number of years now. She has many friends, and really likes her apartment. They have lunches, every week day, for a small fee, which is quite nice and flavorful. I have eaten there many times with my mother, and everyone is so friendly and nice. This apartment building is subsidized according to your income. They have cards, bingo, puzzles and other activities going on there at one time or another. The visiting room is decorated so nicely and they have a lovely new kitchen. If you are looking for a senior's building for yourself or for one of your family members, I would highly recommend this place.
PROS: Nice, friendly
