The Delano Library is not real big but it is a very friendly, small town type of Library, where my grandchildren love to go and read. It is right in downtown Delano, with parking next to the building and across the street. It is very close to my grandchildren's home, so we go there often. They have an area for the very small children to play in with blocks, stuffed animals and hard cover books. There are little chairs and tables to encourage them to sit and read also. If you live near Delano, I would recommend that you stop and take a peek at this very nice Library.
PROS: Friendly, enjoyable
When we moved out of our home, when needed a place to store all of our household items until our apartment was available. This Public Storage is very neat and clean, and is kept very secure, with fences. You have a card to get in also, if I remember right. The storage unit that we rented was quite large, but it was still piled high! The employees were kind, friendly, and understanding. We did not have this, but every once in awhile Cub Foods cash register receipts have a coupon to get one month free with one months rental. We had no problem with this storage and it was very convenient for us. I would recommend this storage unit on Zachary Lane, if you need to find one.
About eight years ago, I was introduced to the home party called Stampin Up! The demonstrator was Julie and she was such a joy to watch, that I ordered my first supplies that night. I have been stamping ever since. I order my Stampin Up catalog from Julie, even though she lives in the state of Washington. The catalogs are unbelievably attractive, with pictures of ideas on every page along with the stamp sets. They sell everything that you could possibly use for making greeting cards or scrapbooking; from stamps, markers, ink pads, ribbons, paper, scissors, brayers, buttons, and so much more. The paper, markers, pens, and ink pads all match, if you want to buy the same color. If you have never been to a Stampin Up party, it is time to do it now. I know that you will have fun with this hobby, I sure do. Enjoy!
PROS: Home party
If you are into the hobby of rubber stamping to make greeting cards, and other things, then you should know about The Stampin' Place. It is just a small store in Big Lake, MN. but it has a big catalog to order from too. There are so many choices of rubber stamps, cutom made stamps, accessories, and supplies, that it can be a "one - stop" place to shop. If you order from their catalog, it doesn't take long at all for it to arrive. The prices are about equal to most of the stamp stores in the area. It is so much fun to browse, when you have this hobby. The do have a toll free number, which is: 1-800-634-3717. I hope that you too will enjoy your shopping trip at Stampin' Place.
PROS: Nice things for your hobby
When my married daughter had back problems, her family doctor just could not seem to help her get relief, other than with pain pills. She lived just a few miles from this clinic, so decided to try it. She was so pleased with the adjustment, theraphy, and being able to walk straight again, that she highly recommended Excel Family Chiropractic to us also. They also do massage therapy, which is wonderful. So if you need a chiropractor, I too would highly recommend this clinic; I know that you will feel so much better by the time that you leave the building. Enjoy!
PROS: Caring hands
The Schwebel, Goetz, & Sieben Law Firm is located on the 51st floor of the IDS building in downtown Minneapols. They are personal injury, wrongful death, product liability and medical malpractice lawyers. You do not have to pay unless they win your case for you. They are caring lawyers, who work for you, not against you. The law firm has been around for over 35 years. I have had one case with them, and I was satisfied with the way it was handled. My case did not go to trial, which was just fine with me; they settled out of court. If you need a lawyer, which I hope that you don't, but if you do, I highly recommend that you call the Schwebel Law Firm. It is an easy telephone number to remember and I am sure that you will be in good hands. Tell them, that I sent you, if you want to.
PROS: Very Good Law Firm
A while back, my husband hurt is back where he could barely walk. He went to our family doctor, and believe it or not, our doctor recommended that he go to a chiropractor. He suggested Dr. Thomas Trainer, at Brook West. My husband got an appointment, I think the same day). We were very pleased with how everyone treated us; so friendly and helpful. After one adjustment, my husband felt a lot better. He did go for a couple more adjustments, and he has been fine ever since. If you are looking for a chiropractor, this clinic is just one block off Brooklyn Blvd., very easy to find, and Dr. Trainer is an excellent doctor.
PROS: Excellent doctor
Here is another new store in Maple Grove. Maple Grove is growing with leaps and bounds. It is located in the first mall area right next to Walgreens. It is a place to have your inkjet cartridges refilled. Since they are new, they do have coupons for 50% off retail, every now and then. If you have 2 inkjet cartridges refilled, they give you a free ream of paper. Can't lose here. The employees are friendly and helpful. I hope that you enjoy your first visit, I did.
PROS: close by
If you want to buy or sell trendy items, this is the store for you. They advertise that they will buy or sell anything, but the baby!! This store is located only about 5 blocks from my apartment, for easy shopping. It is across the street from J.C.Penney's, you can't miss it. Some of the clothes are quite cute and quite unique, but just not what I would buy for my 3 year old granddaughter. I'm sure that a lot of mothers like this style; their windows have cute displays. I have not bought anything there but it is fun to browse. Try it, you may like it. Have fun shopping.
PROS: unique clothing
CONS: Just not my style
Since some of my family lives in Delano, I shop at Coborn's every once in awhile. It is a very clean, pleasant store with helpful, friendly employees. They have good prices and a great flyer to let you know what is on sale. Of course, they take coupons! They have a wonderful bakery, where they make cakes as delicious as anywhere, and I do mean anywhere. There deli area is also great. If you have not shopped at Coborn's yet, I highly recommend that you do. I am sure that you will not be disappointed. Enjoy your shopping!
PROS: Great store
