Sushie Avenue Square
Located on Decatur Square, this little sushi place offers great lunch specials. Everything I ordered was delicious and artfully prepared. The service was quick and very courteous. Prices were very reasonable and the menu had a nice variety of options. The restaurant is small but seating choices include the sushi bar or tables.
Sweet Melissa's Rstrnt & Cater
Located right in the heart of downtown Decatur, this little restaurant offers a great selection of breakfast foods and lunch fare. They serve brunch 7 days a week and are only open until 2:30pm on weekedays and til 3pm on weekends. The waitstaff is friendly and quick. I had one of their pita pocket sandwiches and enjoyed it immensely. The overall atmosphere feels homey, familiar and pleasant.
Taqueria Del Sol Decatur
Ive been to both the West Midtown and Decatur locations and have yet to be disappointed. The service is fast, the prices are fair and the food is great! They take an artful approach to concocting their tacos by offering choices such as fish tacos and pulled barbecue pork tacos. The shrimp and corn chowder is delicious as well (and strangely enough, actually really good as a dip for tortilla chips).
Crescent Moon
Located on Ponce de Leon Ave. in downtown Decatur, this restaurants menu has a great variety. I was there for brunch on a Sunday. After a short wait my friends and I were seated and greeted by a very friendly server. My meal was excellent and my friends choices looked delicious as well. The prices were very fair. I will definitely go back.
Sweet Devil Moon
This tapas-style restaurant in the quaint Oakhurst neighborhood near Decatur specializes in South American (Peruvian specifically) dishes. The ambiance and dcor of the restaurant definitely adds to its charm. The interior is dimly lit and the walls are decorated with warm, vibrant colors and intriguing artwork. Outside there is an adorable patio with festive looking hanging lanterns. As with any tapas-style restaurant, its most fun to go with a group so that you can sample and share many dishes. Every dish my friends and I tried was excellent. The service was a little slow but very kind so I guess that made up for it. The desserts are wonderful I especially recommend the tres leches.
