Big Dog City

Big Dog City was recommended to me by a friend when I needed a taxi to take to teh airport. I actually called teh taxi service the day before and they sent the taxi right on time. The rates are pretty comparable to all the other bay area taxi companies. The driver was really friendly and helped me wihh my bags. He was a safe driver and did not speed too much. But I did like the overall service and convience. I did not have to wait to long for teh driver. Highly recommended.

Oakland Zoo

This zoo is not as large as the San Francisco zoo, but it definitely did not lack in fun. It was nce to be able to visit all of teh exhibits and animals in less than 4 hours. I liked the train ride that allows you to travel almost all the way around the zoo. That was a great experience. I also noticed that they had mini carnival rides just at the entrance to the zoo for all the children. Overall the Oakland zoo was a fun place to visit. Highly recommended for family fun.

Menlo Park Academy Of Dance

Menlo Park, CA Dance Instruction 09/08/05: 'Dance Lessons'

My husband and I took dance lessons a few weeks before our wedding. the dance teachers at Menlo Park Academy of dance were highly recommened so we decided to give them a try. They were absolutely wonderful. It was worth it just be in teh class, even though our class sixe was about 20. But I think it made it more fun with more people. We were able to help each other out. This dance studio is highly recommended. We are cven thinking about going back to learn different dances. And parking is really easy too.

I visited Dr Albert Burns for a minor foot problem. Though he is very knowledgable about hs field, he has teh worst bedside manner of any doctor that I have ever met. He has such a dry personality and was very abrupt about answering my questions. He did not make me feel comfotable at all. Often time you pick a doctor not just for his skills, but also for his personality. Dr. Burns may have the skills, but he definitely does not have the personality.

Modern Times Bookstore

San Francisco, CA Book Stores 09/08/05: 'Modern Times'

I like this little bookstore. It is located in the heart of the mission district and parking is not so bad. I often come here do research for my politics classes. They offer a wide range of books that I can use. I like the fact that they offer many books on he same topic with different viewpoints. Its a great place to visit and they often have community events. Great little bookstore with a big ambiance.

I like to watch KRON 4 TV station. I think that they do one of the better jobs in repoting the news to the bay area. They also seem to have very accurate information and they try to report the whole story, not just one side. i like the fact that their news is also at 9 pm. Its better if you don't want to stay up late to watch the news. Also I like some of their programming especially Bay Area Backroads. Its very intersting to learn about all the areas that you never think to visit.

San Francisco Bay Guardian

The San Francisco Bay Guardian is a pretty good FREE paper. I always find inetresting articles that I would never find with a mainstream papers. the advertisements are fun to look at. I also use this paper to find fun things to do on the weekends. they always feature different shows and clubs to visit. It is a great asset to our city. Also I find the quirky articles to be well written. the cartoons ar a bit strange for me beacuse sometimes I just can't understand the humor. But overall, a very good independent paper.

San Francisco Chronicle

I used to read the SF Chronicle Daily. But I don't know. lately it is just not the same paper as it used to be. Th earticles are not as well written and there are always mistakes. Also te layout of the paper used to be much better, with articles that are inetresting. Now I actually prefer to read another paper unless this one is just hanging around work. Very disappointing changes in this paper.

I ahve never tried the eyebrow waxing at this salon, but I did recieve the mini facial. I have to admist that it was amazing! My skin felt so clean and fresh for months. I just returned teh other day to get another one. The staff people there are so friendly, they make you feel right at home. Its an excellent place to visit for a facial. I have also heard great things about the eye brow wax treatments. I may have to try that next time.

Since my travel agency closed down on West Portal, I have been looking for a good travel agent. KR travel is a very good place. Th esales staff are very friendly and helpful. They always try to look for the best travel deals possible. I do not like to go on the internet sometimes because it is too much of a hassel. The people at KR travels do the work for me. And te prices are pretty reasonable. Its just har to find parking in that rea.
