I had a coupon for this place, so decided to use it in conjunction with an oil change. As soon as I pulled out the coupon they made me feel like I was a burden. I don't know if they would have treated me like that if I was paying full price, but it certainly made me feel like I was a pain to them. If they don't want to accept the coupons happily they shouldn't put them out there.
Ralph's is truly the best in town. I have had them do my non-emergency plumbing for about a year, and they always are able to get me in within a day. Last month I had an emergency, the boiler (heat) went out during a blizzard. They came out and gave all my tenants portable space heaters, then fixed the boiler within a couple days, which is a major project.
I do not bank here, but someone wrote me a check from this bank. I went to First International Bank to cash the check and they refused, saying I needed to route it through my own bank to them. I found out later that the account the check was drawn on was overdrawn and no money to cash the check, but by forcing me to route the check through my bank instead of just telling me this, they cost me $15 in fees.
This place will supply any sort of form you may need, from leases to letterhead for your business. They face some stiff competition in town from Lowe's Printing, but I think that they hold their own rather well. Their prices are comparable to other places in town, but I think their quality is very high. I would recommend them.
This is the best place in MInot for personalized items for sporting teams and your workplace. They have a large selection that you can pick from to have personalized. Most of the items are fairly reasonably priced. They can either embroider stuff on fabric, or print it on something hard, like a mug or pen.
This is the place that people go to when they need a plaque to commemorate a special occasion such as a retirement. They have a good selection and they also will rush your order through if you need it faster than normal. They have personal service that is missing in some other places. I was impressed.
I love reading the paper, I think they do a good job of compiling the local and national news. However, their customer service is sorely lacking. I had poor carriers for over a year. I probably called and complained 100 times at least. At no time did the Minot Daily actually fix the problem. I finally ended up cancelling my subscription, as there was no need to pay for a paper I wouldn't get.
Newman's owns about every billboard in the whole state, and if you need to advertise, they are the company to go through. They have packages that affordable for most companies, even small ones. The billboards may be in less populated areas, but at least it gets your name out there. The company is also socially responsible also, which is a plus.
The counseling service of Lutheran Social Services in Minot is called the Village, and they are of assistance to so many families. They charge about $50 per hour for supervised visitation, but do a great job documenting everything about the visit, which is good. They also offer credit counseling, marriage and family counseling and this is all on a sliding scale.
I have worked with Catholic Charities on several adoptions in Minot. They have always been very professional and helpful when I've had questions. They also always show up to the court hearings for support reasons even when they are not "necesary" for the actual proceedings. I know the families appreciate them being there.
