Fairway Market
I really enjoy going to Fairway to shop! It is a great store with a nice selection. They have a ton of produce (organic and regular) as well as great specialty items. It is acrossed town from us but still worth going to when we get the chance. Definitely worthwhile and recommended!
Animal Clinic Of New York
We took our cat here when she had an eye problem. The people who work there were very nice and the vet was really good and friendly. The office is pretty nice and we didn't have to wait long at all. The prices seemed a little high, but overall we were happy. They also called to check up on our cat a few days later.
Vudu Lounge
We have only been here once. It was a Saturday night a few months ago and we had a good time. They have an email guest list that you can sign up for to save on cover charges. The drinks were fine and the DJ was pretty good. We got there early so where able to secure a table.
Windsor Florist Ii
Windsor Florist seems to have a nice selection of flowers, especially potted plants and hanging baskets. They are a bit on the pricey side, but do have nice, quality items. The people who work there are pretty friendly and helpful, and do a nice job. The location is conveneient and easy to find.
World Of Nuts & Chocolate
This small store is a great place to hit before going to the movies to get some candy. It is a bit pricy, but not any more so than the other candy stores in NY. They have a good selection and the people who work there are friendly. I really like the chocolate covered gummy bears!
Gristedes Sloans Supermarket
I usually only go to this store when I am unable to find something at the other grocery store a block down. However, they do carry a few different items than that store, so it is nice to have both of them near by. The prices are good and the selection is pretty good. Customer service could be better, but it is a fine place to go to every so often.
Pearl River Chinese Products
I enjoy going to Pearl River to get gifts and other specialty items. The prices are pretty good and the assortment is great. They have a lot of neat things from clothing and shoes for men, women, and children, to kitchen accessories. It is a great place to visit when in Soho, especially with people from out of town.
York Wines & Spirits
I really like this wine store and most often go here to purchase wine and liquor. The people who work there are very helpful and are great at giving recommendations to fit your price range. They have a nice selection of wines and a smallish selection of liquors. They also have a small cooler so that you can buy pre-chilled wine.
Boris Hair Salon
My husband has been going here to get his hair cut for years. He really likes Boris and the job that he does. Boris uses scissors to cut hair instead of a razor, which my husband is especially fond of. Also, he is really good about making time for the customers, even on last minute notice.
Sutton Hardware & Home Center
This is a smaller hardware store that will most likely have what you need. The service is friendly and helpful, and it is easy to ask questions if you are not exactly sure what you are in need of. They have a pretty good selection of tools and supplies, and decent prices.
