Strawberry Fields is a small health food grocery store, but they have a lot of great items. You can buy fresh organic vegetables and fruit. Also, you can buy whole grains too. They bake delicious homemade wheat bread daily. Aside from their organic groceries, they also offer vitamins and other supplements. They have a small selection of organic frozen food, which is hard to find.
On the other side of the store is a small restaurant. Their food is so yummy. They sell salads, hummus, sandwiches, etc. Try "When Grapes get the Blues". It is best pasta salad I have ever had!
Their prices are a little steep for groceries, but you expect that at a specialty store.
When it was time to change the timing belt in our Honda, we called around to different places to get quotes. CM Automotive quoted us a price that was $150 cheaper than the other places. We were very pleased with the results. Not only were they cheaper, but they were very professional too. They had our car finished quickly and on time. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. We called numerous times to ask questions and they always answered our questions in a courteous manner.
I love places that love your animal as much as you do. That is the case with Winnfield Animal Clinic.
Dr. Camp has a true love for animals and it shows. The prices are so cheap! I think this is because Dr. Camp wants everyone to be able to afford to take care of their animals.
It is so easy to get an appointment. Most of the time, you can just walk in, and they will be able to see you right away. There are times that I brought my dog in for something small, and they didn't charge us at all.
The pet medications are cheaper than other vet offices.
This is a great place to take your pet!
Caplan's has a large selection of nice men's clothing. They have a great selection of suits. Their staff is trained to help you find the perfect fit, and they tailor the suit to your body. In fact, they do alterations on just about anything in the store, including jeans.
They carry high-end merchandise. They have dress shirts, ties, polos, etc.
They also have a small selection of women's clothing. I found brands such as AG and Juicy.
Most of their items are pricey, but they have good sales.
I looked in the yellow pages for a groomer for my dog, and found the "Pet Chateau". It sounded nice. I was so wrong. The place is a shack! The people are unfriendly and mean to animals.
They did not follow my instructions about grooming my dog. I was letting her hair grow out and they cut it ALL off. I didn't even recognize my own dog.
To top off everything, they cut my dog not once but TWICE! I heard my dog crying in the back with the groomer, while the groomer yelled at her. I guess the groomer didn't realize that I was in the front lobby waiting.
I tried to speak to the owner about the yelling and cuts, but she had no sympathy. She didn't even give me my money back (or even partially back), even though they groomed my dog incorrectly and hurt her.
Do NOT take your animal there!!!
We bought a home built by Mennenga Construction. The house was only one year old and they were still the owners. (They rented the house out for the first year). After living in the house for just a few months, we noticed that our floor was sinking in the kitchen. There was an actual "dip" in the floor. We hired someone to come inspect it. Mennenga Construction had failed to replace some beams under the house after the pipes and ducts were completed. Also, they failed to put drywall tape on our walls, so all of our ceilings and walls started to come apart. The house was only ONE year old. There were lots of cracks in the drywall too. Houses that are one year old should not have two foot cracks in the wall. Our friends who bought a house from them had lots of cracks in their walls too.
Then when our taxes came due at the beginning of the next year, they had failed to pay their fair share of the taxes for the part of the year they still owned the house. When I contacted them about it, their response was "oh, well, that isn't our fault".
So, we had to pay double the taxes we should have paid because of their dishonesty.
I don't recommend this company at all. Their construction work is not up to par. And they are not honest in their everyday dealings.
CONS: Poor workmanship, dishonest
I love our ward because we have such a wide variety of ages. They have young and old alike. They have singles and they have families. The Primary (program for kids) is a good size. They average about 60 kids under the age of 12 each week.
Most people who attend are "members", but of course visitors are welcome each week.
PROS: Friendly, diverse
Just looking at the outside of the building, you would never know just how much furniture they offer inside. They have two floors of furniture crammed into that building. The owners are really nice. They really want to keep your business locally, so they are willing to work out a great price for you.
There is a good selection of furniture. Some lower quality, some higher quality. They also have appliances too.
Some of the pieces they carry are more unique than you would find in a regular furniture store. I like the diversity.
PROS: Great selection, good diversity in quality and selection, affordable
CONS: Hard to get around in the store because it is crammed full
While this isn't first-class furniture, it definitely is still nice quality furniture. They carry a good assortment of living room and bedroom furniture. Some things can be pricey, but for the most part they are affordable. They also offer a 12-month, no interest payment plan if you spend over $999.
Also, if the product you purchase goes on sale within 90 days of purchase, they will refund the difference. I like that a lot.
The only thing I don't like is that the sales staff hounds you while you look. I just learned to give them the cold shoulder from the beginning, and they will leave me alone for the most part.
Another negative is that they don't fix problems right away. They delivered half of our furniture, and when I called to find out why, they told me that I would have to wait another week before they would deliver it. They had it in stock, but didn't want to make it a priority. Since it was their mistake, they should have corrected it ASAP.
PROS: Good quality furniture, affordable
CONS: sales staff is annoying
We love to watch fish. The Aquarium of the Americas allows you to view water creatures up close. When you first go in, there is a tunnel that you go through and you see fish, sharks, etc all around you. They also have a few hands-on exhibits. You can touch a starfish and pet a baby shark. Where else can do you that?
My favorite part is watching the otters play and seeing the jellyfish swim.
PROS: Hands-on exhibits, quiet relaxing activities
