I take all my animals to this hospital. It is very convienet to my house and they have later hours so that I can take them after work. I have 2 cats and 2 dogs, so this is very convenient. I had one of my cats declawed and spayed at the hospital. They asked to keep her overnight to make sure she was ok after the surgeries. This calmed my fears about my cats care. After the surgery, she started to bite at her stiches. We were going out of town and concerened that her incision looked infected. They told us to come by immediately, even though they were closed. They looked at it and gave us some cream for it. Overall it was a wonderful experience and I totally trust the care of my dogs and cats to this hospital. They have such great mannerisms with the animals and owners alike!
My husband adopted a kitten from Northwood. He is the sweetest kitten! They were very knowledgable there and the fact that they are open late for emergancies was very conenient. Included in his adoption fee was to have him spayed at the hospital. We had him declawed at the same time, and he was great after surgery. He didn't need a cone and the staff was very good at letting us know what we needed to do and when he needed his medicine.
When we adopted a stary dog, I took him to Animal Aid first to make sure he wasn't sick or hurt. I arrived there and had to wait in a very crowded waiting room for about an hour, until someone called me name to be next. So I went into the back room with my dog and the vet literally looked him over for 2 seconds, and asked if he needed vacination shots. I explained to her that he was a stray and I wasn't sure exactly what he needed or if he had heart worms, etc. She said OK and told the vet tech to give him the shots. When I went to check out, the lady behind the desk asked if I needed flea medication or heart worm medication. I told her that the dog was a stray and yes, I would probably need those things. So then she looked in the system and asked if the dog had a heart worm test. I told her I thought they did one, she looked again and said that he had not had one and took him in the back to get a test. It took an additional 15 - 20 minutes before they came back out and told me he was healthy. Now, why wouldn't they have done one when I had meantioned it directly to the vet and also to the vet tech that he was a stray so I wanted all the tests run on him? It just shows that they place doesn't cahrge much, but you don't get much in return.
I graduated from FSU in 2001. For the most part, I had a very good experience with the school. On a few ocassions, however, I ran into some major bumps. The first one I will meantion, is that the guidance councelors never informed me that with my double major (which they encouraged me to do) I would not actually receive two seperate degrees unless I had over a certain # of hours for graduation. I was one class shy of receiving two pieces of paper to show my hardwork. I believe that they should give everyone a degree for every major they study, not expect you to pay for and attenda a certain # of classes in order to do so. The other glitches I had with FSU were all with their parking and ticketing department. There was never enough parking. I would have to arrive to school about an hour before my class and hope that I could get a spot and make it to class on time. One year I didn't get a parking pass and parked in an area that said it was OK to park after a certain time. It was after that time, and there were no signs that it required a parking pass, so I parked there and received several tickets. I didn't know about them until it was too late to fight them because they had fallen off my car, or someone had taken them off my car.
I have always had issues trusting a mechanic, since I know nill about cars. My husband took his Honda in on a recomendation of a friend to A+ Dealer Alternative, and I was pleasantly suprised at how knowledgable and friendly the owner and his wife were. He was very straight forward with my husband and fixed the problem for ht eexact amount he quoted. After that I had some problems with the Alternator on my Ford. The Ford Dealership was going to charge me an arm and a leg, and so I called A+ in hopes of a referral since they gernerally only work on foreign cars, but they said that it would be no problem at all to fix it themselves. Again, they helped us for the amount quoted (which was very reasonable) and it was ready when they said it was going to be.
PROS: Knowledgable, friendly people
CONS: The entrance is a little hard to get into, but well worth the effort.
When I first waled into The Green Peridot, I didn't know what to think. It was definetly upscale, but with concrete floors and funky decorations, it wasn't what I expected. Then I sat down with Heather, upon recommendation of a friend, and let her cut my hair however she thought it would look best. I had so much fun sitting in that chair. I had several other hairstylist and shampoo girls comment on how great it was looking. Heather and the rest of the staff was very friendly and fun. My only complaint would be that they did not allow me to tip Heather using my credit card. I had to leave, go to an ATM and then come back with cash. That is something they should tell you upfront.
PROS: Great service, fun and friendly atmosphere
CONS: You can't tip on a credit card with the rest of your payment
My company always uses Remedy Staffing for our temporary staffing needs. They send us qualified workers and are always ready to help if we have a problem. For some of our positions, we are looking for something specific, and Remedy is willing to help. They are the only agency we use for that reason. I recommend Remedy to all of my friends, and they all thank me for it.
My husband and I bought our house through Sheryl Montgomery. Sheryl was a recomendation from a co-worker, and using her really paid off in the end. She was quick to send us listings that fit our requirements, and once we put in an offer she really got to working. I never had to call and ask her if something was done, she just did it. When we went to get financed and brought in our paperowrk, the broker said "you are working with sheryl, that is great. She always has her paperwork correct" We didn't come accross one problem, the entire time.
My husband and I started going to life church almost a year ago. We were immediately drawn to Pastor Brian's open and honest approach. Even though he is only a few years older than me, I can see the maturity in the Lord in his eyes and in his words. We actually didn't go to church for several months, but when we returned Pastor Brian made it a point to welcome us back by name. It was nice to know that he cares about all of Jesus's flock, not just those who are regular attenders!
We used Ingle and associates on recomendation of our realtor. They were great. We worked with Tyler Oden and he was very informative and walked us through the proces since it was our first house. He and his assistant we always available when I needed them and we closed ON TIME. I don't know of many people who are able to do that, my family was shocked.
PROS: Awesome service
