This is one of my favorite places to pick up cosmetics, hair coloring or just your basic essentials. I have found some really good deals here. And during Christimas time, you will have so many gift options from which to choose. Whenever I needed assistance, the staff was really cool and helpful. They have gift cards and a whole lot of other awesome items at this store.
When you feel like giving a great gift, this is definitely a solid option. The person receiving it will feel very special. They are professional and good at what they do, and they definitely know how to pamper you. I feel they are overpriced, but for this type of spa and salon, you have to expect it. I only would give as a gift because I feel it's not worth it to spend this kind of cash on myself.
I remember Dr. Mike from when I needed emergency oral surgery - fast. Normally (like most people) doctors and dentists freak me out. I found this doc through a recommendation and boy, am I glad I did. He's wonderful. Patient, gentle, friendly, and very down to earth. He made my root canal ALMOST seem tolerable and pleasant! He put me at ease and had a gentle and calming demeanour. He's also young and hip - try him and you will be happy you did.
PROS: Great dentist, super nice guy
This place is big, beautiful and such a nice place to spend a day. You will enjoy their special rooms that give homage to local tv and radio, you can watch a play, hear a concert or just enjoy a leisurly lunch in their on-site restaurant. They are in the best location in the city (Michigan and Randolph), which is conveniently located to every bus and train you can imagine! Their staff consists of some of the nicest people around, who all seem to love what they do!
This is a wonderful place to take the whole family. The building is large, spacious and beautiful. They have so many cool attractions, great exhibits and so much to do that you will get tired just thinking of what to see next! They really do a great job in offering a first rate museum for a reasonable price, with a very efficient and accomodating staff. They have special films that are always great, and a large cafeteria. You will love visiting them!
This in one of the best Christian bookstores in the city. They are across the street from North Park college, conveniently located near public transportation. They carry a wonderful selection of Bibles, CDs, DVDs, and Christian books. They staff will go out of their way to help you - they are pleasant, kind and very knowledgeable. Lots of wonderful gift ideas too.
PROS: Great selection, pleasant and helpful staff
This store ROCKS! Literally. When you open the doors, you will be greeted by their blasting stereo system and your eyes will be treated by some great deals on CDs, videos, t-shirts and music memorablia. Their staff is very knowledgeable, helpful and efficient. You will love the outside of this store which has the most amazing paintings of everyone from Kiss to Tina Turner and Springsteen. You will be treated like a rock star, baby!
PROS: Near lots of transportation, knowledgeable staff
Once I had a serious problem and needed emergency help with my choppers. I walked right in, with no appointment, and their staff took me right away and they were fast, efficient and kind. They have a lab on premises and they do quality work. Their prices are reasonable, and they are professional and will take good care of you and put you at ease. Give them a call and your pearly whites will thank you for it!
PROS: They speak polish and czech, convenient location, good prices
If I knew a ton of famous musicians, I would send them here. I would love nothing more than to see this little mom and pop type shop get a bunch of new business. If you are in a band, an aspiring musician or just want to see discover your own hidden talent, visit this northwest side store. They have great prices on guitars, amps, keyboards and all the accessories you need. They also offer lessons for cheap. Nice people, great store and they will treat you right!
PROS: Great deals, nice instruments, convenient location
I am certainly no genius when it comes to car repairs, but I do know how hard it is to find an honest mechanic. Well, I finally did, and this is it. When I needed what I thought would be $2,000 in work done, Pete figured out I just needed something very simple - for under $100. He could have easily ripped me off, but he didn't. Pete runs an honest, hard working shop, with a very knowledgeable and friendly group of people. When you need help and don't feel like getting taken, give them a try.
