Fry's Electronics is the largest electronics store I've ever been in. That also means they have a huge selection of items to choose from and there are some pretty good deals to be had. The cons of Fry's are the long lines of customers that wait to checkout. Unfortunately, I don't recommend a shopping visit around the holidays.
The Orleans Hotel & Casino is a pretty good location to go for gaming and dining. There are a lot of kids at this location due in part to the arcade, movie theater and bowling alley at this locals establishment. However, it seems there are more kids roaming the actual casino floor than any of the other locals casino that I've noticed. There's also a lot of smoke at this location. I recommend this casino, but you will leave smelling of smoke.
Rave Motion Pictures is by far the best and probably the newest movie theater in town. As you approach, you'll notice the bright lights and very contemporary design of the business. Upon entering, you'll notice the cleanliness of the facility. The actual theaters are large but very aesthetically pleasing. The seats are comfortable with PLENTY of legroom. I've never been in a theater where there's so much room for movie-goers to easily pass by those who are seated. This is the place to watch your movie. I just wished it was closer to my home.
The staff at Century 16 Santa Fe Station is friendly. The theaters are large but not so big you can't enjoy the movies because of loud crowds. I recommend this business for couples and families.
I bought a new General Electric refrigerator, stove, and built-in microwave from this Home Depot a few days before Thanksgiving. They were delivered and setup on time. The technicians said the fridge could take a few minutes to get to the proper temperature. It never did. We called Home Depot. They told us to call GE. GE said it would take several days before they could look at it. Meanwhile, Thanksgiving was upon us and we had many friends and family coming to visit. We had no choice but to make do the best we could without a fridge or freezer. The tech finally showed up and said he fixed it. A week later it was warm again. We told Home Depot they need to replace it or give us our money back since we bought it from them. Over the course of several non-fixing repairs and numerous complaints, they finally replaced it. What a headache! I would have given this a 1-star had the new store manager not stepped up to ensure we were finally taken care of.
Avoid our headache... don't shop here... and don't by General Electric. They would rather make you wait a couple of weeks to fix a BRAND NEW OUT-OF-THE-BOX LEMON appliance than to take care of their customer by replacing it with one that properly works.
This is a fairly average restaurant chain. There's nothing that really stands out. The food is good and the staff is alright. It's definitely better than Chili's if that helps!
I love Islands, but my family gets tired of me taking them because we go ALL THE TIME! The atmosphere is like a giant palapa hut with surfing & snowboarding videos playing in the television monitors. The staff is friendly and the food is good. Try the tortilla soup with the Moa Kai sandwich.
I took my family to Buca di Beppo to try something new and different. We were not even close to impressed. This is the Walmart of restaurants. You order in bulk and share. It was cold and didn't taste good and the meatballs we ordered with the spaghetti were raw in the middle. We won't return.
Panda Express has good food and at a reasonable price. The restaurant is clean and the service is good. The selections of entrees is always good as is seen by the frequent and numerous customers. The orange chicken seems to be a favorite.
If you're looking to ride roller coasters, this is the theme park to visit. It's a very large place, so be sure you're ready to do a lot of walking. The assortment of coasters is unmatched at any other amusement park I've ever visited. The crowds are very large so be prepared to wait in line for quite a while. Also, the park feels pretty run down in places. I don't know why they don't reinvest in the upkeep. It almost feels like they're going to close this place down while they spend a ton of money on the new ride Tatsu... but what a ride it is!... probably the smoothest coaster I've ever been on. I give them an F -- for Upkeep... but an A -- for Rides.
Also, keep in mind if you want to purchase Flash Passes to get through lines a little quicker, you can spend a fortune!!!!!! Disney offers their version of this for FREE!!!!!
