Kishman's Iga Super Market

This older outdated store has seen its better days. I go and shop the sale items but rarely do any major shopping here. The clerks aren't very knowledgeable and don't like it when you use coupons. I have had good luck with their meat department but they don't offer much in the bakery. I do pick up lunchmeats and bread here for lunches but find it hard to find all the ingredients I need for some of my recipes.

Wood's Grocery

This is a great small town grocery store with lots going for it. I love their meat department and they actually have a butcher on staff to help you out. I always like to check out their deli counter and always make sure I purchase some of the homemade ham salad. I have ordered the fried chicken and it is outstanding. Also worth noting is they have a great bakery.

Mount Union College

This is just a beautiful school in a quaint little out of the way town of Alliance. Mount Union is a small private liberal arts college with about 2,000 students. It is a methodist college and is consistently rated top for regional arts. They have a fantastic football team and lots of extra activities. Mount Union has a very active alumini and a large percentage of their staff has doctorate degrees. I really like the hometown atmosphere about this college.

Hoopes Florist

I live about an hour from Minerva but I frequently order flowers from Hoopes Florist and have been very happy. I always get what I order and they are great about making up arrangements to my specifications. I have also ordered very nice cemetery blankets that they deliver to the graveside for me. I really like that this is a small town florist that will go the extra mile and do the extra things to satisfy their customers.

Creative Framing & Lazar's Art

Lazars is where I take all my prints to be framed, they do an incredible job on framing and matting. I am so impressed with the fantastic job they do with your framing items. I have taken family heirlooms and even posters her to be framed and they have always done a great job. They also feature loacl and national artists works that you can purchase. Their staff is very knowledgeable and can really help you make your artowrk look its best.

Party Place

You can find anything you need for your birthday party, shower, wedding or sports event. I got everything I needed here for a baby shower and didn't have to worry about finding enough of any item. They have virtually every color of paper and plastic ware here. They sell helium quality balloons and mylar of about any style you could imagine. Occassionally they have sales to give you a better deal and I do check their website for additional coupon savings. They really have the biggest selection of party items I have ever seen.

Norcia Bakery

Everytime I am in Canton I have to stop at Norcia Bakery for their Italian Bread, without a doubt it's the best I've ever had. I'm not so impressed with their bakery just your run of the mill cookies and donuts. If you like Pepperoni bread though its just wonderful and well worth the trip. I have even found their bread at Marc's at Belden in a display so check that out also.

Canalway Center Cleveland

Anyone that walks, bikes or runs in the Cleveland Metroparks know that it's the best.. They have a paved trail that goes from Downtown Cleveland almost the whole way to Akron. I feel safe and secure walking on the path because I know they are monitored by security. I do wish the trails could could be plowed when the snow gets ankle deep, but other than that I have no complaints. Join me a travel a different trail every time.

Forrest Discount Vacuum

I bought my first vacuum here over 25 years ago and I continue to purchase here because of the good service I have received. They have also been happy with their repair service, they don't try to sell you a new vac when they can fix your old one. Their stock isn't the biggest around but they can order what they don't have. I like that I can get my belts and bags here also. I alway refer my friends here when they are looking for a new vacuum.

Side Door

This shop is located right on RT 91 in Hudson and very easy to find. I like to stop here about once a year to check out their arrangements and wreaths. They have a large selection but a lot of it looks the same. Their prices seem to be in the mid to high range. I like to check them out in the spring for their outside container arrangements, in this area they seems to have a good selection. I have ordered a few custom designs and have been happy.
