Antelope Valley Poppy Reserve
The best time to go is from February to May (they say). But I normally call first, the rangers will tell you exactly day to arrive. If you go at the right time you will see blooming poppy everywhere... bring camera, drinking water. Oh and there is a 2 miles easy hiking trail. You won't forget this place. I promise!
PROS: Amazing place
CONS: don't go after May... 100+ degree is a temperature around this area
Hollis Construction
Just about 50 miles north of Los Angeles. You still can find a gold Mines, tailings, headframe and old buildings from other mining camps. I found a few cool rocks, old color bottles (from the 1800s). If you like taking pictures... this is one of the place you can't miss...
PROS: Such a good place
CONS: People leave trash, empty can soda and empty beer bottle around
Bang Luck Market
You can find alot of products from Thailand, laos, vietnam, china, and many more here... They do have fresh fish and seafood. This is a mid size market but have products for large size store... They got so much from cooking gear to candy....
PROS: Got so many things
CONS: Parking space is really small.... :(
Sanam Luang Cafe
I used to drive from Orange county to Sanam Luang Cafe, in Los Angeles at midnight just to eat Kao Mun Kai... They just remodel the restaurant recently... it used to be just a hole in the wall but .. no more holes... this place is so nice and cool.. and alot of time you will see movie stars here... The price is great, and they do give you alot of food (very good food)... you will love it...
PROS: SO GOOD, SO YUMMY

Thai Teak Furniture
My friend is in to Teak Furniture... We went around town and couldn't find good furniture until we stop by here. The price was amazing, the furnitures were to die for (just beautiful), good made and they deliver... Check them out.... call first!!!

You will find good asian books, gifts and much more. Everyone there so polite and helpful... This bookstore is close to alot of Thai, chinese, Japanese food.... you can walk around the area - pretty cool place...

Short Stop Mini Mart
This mid size liquor store is great. It got pretty much everything that you need. But no copy machine hahaha. They got gifts, sodas, food, liqours and more... Check it out... The owner is very sweet.. He will order whatever he doesn't have just for you...

Edna Edwards Cleaning
Edna and her husband is the best cleaner around. They will on around your schedule. They will even come and look after your pet and your house when you are not home for a few days. (when they know you well enough of course)... They always on time, clean everything, quick and they are so funny.... if you need house keepers ... give them a call...
