I have loved getting pie from this place since i was a little girl. Granny Scott is actually a guy who owns the shop, and is there everyday to greet the customers and to make sure everything is running smoothly. Every slice I've had there is delicious, and the servings are large. You can also get full pies to take with you. It's in a little shopping center area, so parking is always available. Delicious pies for wonderful prices. Definately worth checking it out!
I got my senior pictures done here in 2001, and was pretty happy with them. They gave me a ton of free wallets for signing up early, and for refering friends to get their pictures done there. They has a nice back yard area with lots of places to get pictures taken, as well as some fun backrounds and props inside.
It is a little expensive (as are all senior pictures), and I did feel a bit pressured to buy more pictures than I originally wanted, but maybe it's like that at all portrait studios.
I've been seeing a doctor at Panorama since January of 2000, and he's been great! He was not quick to jump to surgery, and one we'd eliminated everything else, he was very cautious about my surgery. He has a great bedside and table side manner. Their new facility is AMAZING, and there is a huge parking lot ,so parking is never a problem. The receptionists are nice, friendly and efficent. Overall, one of the best doctors I have ever had the pleasure of visiting
We've bought 4 cars through Christopher Dodge over the past 20 years, and they're great! Firstly, if they don't have what you want, they won't try to foist off a different car (or the right cars with a really expensive package) on you. Additionally, we take all three of our current cars in for service at this dealership, and they will keep fixing it until they'll sure the problem is solved. Overall, I would definately reccomend this place to anyone, especially those driving a chrystler or dodge.
I have a african pygmy hedgehog, and had a ton of trouble finding a vet for him in the Denver area. I finally got the number of Anderson Animal Hospital, and it was a wonderful find. Not only are they experienced in exotics, but the vet went out of her way to answer all of my questions, and even went and got me a ton of information to take home with me, in case I had any more questions. Additionally, she clearly knew what she was doing, and had a great 'cage side' manner. I am so glad to have found such a good, experienced and reliable vet!
I used Cindy's for all my dances in high school. They were wonderful about special orders (I always wanted to get a sterling rose for my date), and always had my order ready on time, and perfectly what I wanted. The downside is that since they are an independent floral service, they do tend to be a little pricey. However, if you compare them to big chains and their flowers, I think it's worth it just for the quality.
Paris on the Platte is a must go to, for locals, visitors, and anyone else. I go there at least 4 times a month! They've got a great artsy crowd, wireless and plug in internet, all types of drinks, and a wide variety of tasty food. The art on the walls is by local artists and is rotated regularly to provide an new atmosphere every time you go in. Parking is available on the street (meters until 8 I think), and they have a parking lot next door too. It's a great place to go alone with a good book/paper to write, or with a group of friends just to hang out.
While if you're looking for something super specific, Denver is the place to go, Zeezos has all the costume basics you need for costume parties, halloween, and more. I haven't taken a good look at their rental section, but they have a ton of fun clothes and props that can be bought, usually not for much money. The staff are friendly, and obviously like what they do, which makes with worth going, even if it's just to look. It's downtown, which makes it a bit difficult to park, and one must use meters, but it's worth it.
This store is slightly expensive, some might say over priced. However, they have a great selection of things you would have trouble finding in 'strait laced' colorado Springs. From Corsets to collars, fishnets to feathers, it 's a great place to go if you're looking for a costume, or something to wear out on the town. The sales lady is friendly, and tells you the truth about things. I love it to death and bring all my friends with me when I visit it!
This store is one of the best things that has happened to women in the Springs area in a long time. Even though its' ownership changed hands last year, the people are still friendly, they have a large array of sizes (XS to 3x), plus a super fun back room with things you'd usually have to go to a seedy store to find. Parking is a bit harder to find downtown (metered), but you can take the fre shuttle to get to it. It's definately a trip every woman should get to make!
