Tenpachi

Baltimore, MD Beauty Salons 08/21/06: 'Cheap and Sometimes Chic'

Tenpachi is a very low budget hair salon. They cut your hair (quickly) and then you sit at mirrored stations and blow dry and style your own hair. I've had decent cuts there, but the consistency varies widely by stylist. I'd ask around for who the best are. I've had good luck with Ariana.

PROS: Afordable
CONS: Inconsistent

One of the best ethnic food restaurants in town. With a great atmosphere to boost. Beautiful pillows abound, candles everywhere, and extra spicey food. The depth and complexity of the flavors are hard to beat.

Wow - by far one of Baltimore's best. Authentic Mexican food, done in a first class manner. The locale and decor is outstanding and the tequila list is unbeatable. Try the pomegranete margarita - you'll never have anything else like it!

Also, the family style pork carnitas are excellent.

Great location in the Inner Harbor, the Cap City Brew Co. has most of your average bar fare, plus some local brew beer that's pretty good. Try the soft pretzels - they're quite good.

CONS: Much better choices in the Inner Harbo

If it's a rainy day and your kids are a bit stir crazy, Exploraworld is the the place to be. Good selction of gross motor skill play areas, and well-secured so you don't have to worry too much about your kids wandering off.

We only go to D&J's for our car repair. I was sold the first time I went 6 years ago when I needed an a/c repair and they flat out told me that repairing the a/c would cost more than the care was worth, They could have guaged me, but they didn't. They do excellent work, are fair, and reasonable.

Wells has a great selction and very good prices AND one of the best sales in the area on wine. Twice a year they have a buy one bottle full price get the a second bottle half price sale and it's a great way to stock up. I can't say enough about Well's. It's truly a Baltimore Institution.

This is such a fun place to take the kids AND buy some good food. They have a wonderful haloween layout for kids with hayrides, and games, and great decorations. We really enjoy our trips to Webers.

First of all, this is spelled incorrectly, it's Grand CRU. but regardless it's a very fun little wine bar with an outsatdning staff to help you through your wine tasting. Whether your a novice or a pro, this is a great place to relax and try new wines.

The service leaves something to be desired at this store, but the selction is quite good. Prepare to spend big bucks- this place is for special occassions only.
