Lake Norman Team, Inc.

Huntersville, NC Real Estate Agents 08/10/06: 'The Absolute BEST Realtor in the Lake Norman Area!!'

I happened upon this Realtor searching for homes on-line. We were being relocated and although they'd assigned us an agent, he just wasn't getting the job done. I was performing much of the legwork myself along with preparing my home to be put on the market. Well, needless to say, even after talking to Michael and letting him know that I was pretty much stuck with my agent, he continued to help me. Never once even suggesting that I dump my agent. After about 3 weeks of misery and complaining, I finally called the relocation company and put my foot down. I told them that at whatever cost, Mike McNulty was the man for the job. Mike and his partner, Carolyn Brown, were by far the best real estate agents my husband and I have ever, ever, dealt with! Complete professionalism, the patience of saints, thorough, unyielding and just a joy to work with. We happened to purchase a home in the same subdivision as our agent and I am proud that he was (IS) our Realtor. We have recommended him to countless neighbors and acquaintances since moving into our new home. You can't go wrong!

PROS: Top Volume Producers in the Lake Norman Area!

Carpet & Rug Superstore

After closing on my new home I contacted several carpet contractors to place bids. Carapet & Rug was one. The store manager came out. Did a through job, was prompt, courteous and very informative. I felt as theouth they were competitive, but in the end we chose another company. Same product, same padding, however they offered two free carpet cleanings for the enitre house. That cinched the deal.

Overhead Door Company Of Charlotte

I contacted this company about a minor problem I was having with my garage door. Although I was able to fix the problem myself with no service call, they were courteous, kind and helpful. I spoke with a residental sales person who put me in contact with an installation guy. Boy was I surprised that the were willing to help me over the telephone knowing that they were not going to make a profit. I was astounded! I will defintiely call them again for any major problems that I have with my garage door. Customer service is not dead, there are those out there who are willing to help the customer and provide service with a smile. I was pleasantly suprised!

Stovall Sandra Dds

Charlotte, NC Dentists - General Dentists 07/26/05: 'If you're desperate...'

Sandy Stoval's office is too busy to take new clients and should seriously consider no longer offering there services to anyone who isn't already a patient. My husband needed a root canal and contacted this office to perform this procedure upon our relocating to the area. The process of getting x-rays sent, etc. was much more than any person is PAIN should have to deal with. The office we were transferring from was more than accommodating, however the Stoval office was a bit of a PAIN in the neck! I would venture to say that if you are in need of dental work, go somewhere else. I tried to schedule a routine cleaning in February (before I knew what a mess this would turn into) and they couldn't see me until August! Save yourself the time and trouble and call someone eles.

PROS:
CONS: Too busy to actually see clients in a timely manner.

Northstone

Huntersville, NC Construction Companies 07/26/05: 'A great place to live!'

We recently purchsed our home in NorthStone about a month ago. We've got fantastic neighbors and just love living here. If you are in the market for a home in the Huntersville area (wheather you golf or not), consider the NorthStone subdivision and contact Michael McNulty with Lake Norman Realty to help you find a house. This has been the best home buying experience we've ever had! There are lots of children, the club is awesome, we're close to shopping, restaurants, movies, schools. The public and prive schools are wonderful and my children just love the atmospher.

Northstone Country Club

We purchased a home in the NorthStone Country Club about four weeks ago. This was not initially our first choice in the Huntersville area. However, after living here for just a short time and becoming acclimated with the area, we couldn't be happier. We are a family of six (four children) and the amminities are just wonderful. Swimming, tennis, golf, playground and tons of family activities. If you are interested in Huntersville Schools and/or want to live in an area where families come first. NorthStone is the place for you. They work hard to keep their members and their residents happy, and it shows. We joined the club soon after purchasing our home and have absoluetly no regrets. The staff is faboulous! The food at the club is fantastic (but pricy), the pools are always clean and we live on the golf course where the views are just breathtaking! There are TONS of kids in this neighborhood and always something to do. The best part for us is that we haven't yet met one person that is from this area (let alone the state of Norch Carolina) wich makes us feel right at home. With so many people from different parts of the country, it's truly a little melting pot. We LOVE it!

We purchased a St. Lawrence Home (7 years old) and it has stood the test of time. These homes are well-built and remarkablly well kept. If you're looking for a home in Huntersville, NorthStone is the subdivsion to purchase in. There are tons of amminities (particularly for children) and the neighbors do a great job of keeping their properties well kept. We looked in several areas and are very glad that this is were we settled.

Huntersville Elementary School

Huntersville, NC Elementary and Secondary Schools 07/26/05: 'Overcrowding Issue Curbed, Principal Should Retire'

This school has great EOG scores, a top-notch PTA, lots of parent involvement, and an excellent Talented & Gifted Program. However, the principal leaves a lot to be desired. We tranfered our daughter just after spring break. After tons of research and even putting together aspread sheet to help in our decison making, we settled on Huntersville Elementary School as our school of choice. Our child is extremely bright and has been tested and accepted into the schoos "Talented & Gifted" program. We are involved parents and upon enrolling our daughter have atteneded every PTA meeting since we moved into the district. Although we've heard positive as well as negative feedback about the school, we decided that it was an excellent place to learn. The overcroding issue will be resolved with the start of the 2005-06 school year since they've built a second elementary school (Torrence Creek on Ranson Road) to eliviate that problem. Nevertheless, the principal leaves a lot to be desired. She's got a very intemidating demeaner (suits every day and her hair slicked back or in a tight bun), but more importantly, she's just not "child" friendly. In the five times she's had the opportunity to speak highly of the school or welcome my husband and I to the district or the community, she's taken that opporuntiy to just toot her own horn so to speak. I've called on two spearate occasions to schedule face-to-face meetings with her and she's just been too "busy" to talk with parents. She's pushed us off on to the assistant principal several times. While I understand that the school has a huge parent base, I find it unbelieveable that she has yet to take the time to speak to new parents about the direction f the school, dicipline issues, etc. My husband and I had to threaten to call the superintendents office for answers before she would conced to talking with us one-on-one about a specific issue of consern.

PROS: Campus is well-kept, gymnasium is huge, arts program is great
CONS: Principal, Trailors (learning cottages), Dicipline a bit much!

Fire-Walker's Lawn Maintenance

The owner of Fire-Walker's Lawn Maintance is knowledgeable, punctual, maticulous and fair. His pricing is competitive, however his work is exceptional. Although we typically maintain our own lawn, when we travel and will be away for more than a few days, we call this company. They do a great job of abiding by the subdivsion covenants in terms of how early they can begin work and the removal of yard waste. I would certainly recommend Fire-Walker's Lawn Maintenance to my neighbors, friends and family members. They do a fantastic job!

Michelle C. Buchheit Designs

I called Michelle after contacting my realtor about local design consultants. We spoke on the telephone for more than 45 minitues while she assessed my needs/wants for my new home. She ws gracious, helpful and extremly pleasant to talk with. I've been in my home for 3 weeks and although I am not ready to have her come to my home for an assesment, I will. I felt extremely comfortable just talking with her over the phone. It felt as if she was really listening to my needs, wants and desires. I told her I have four children and that I needed a family friendly home, she completely got it! She will be the first person (the only person) I call once these boxes are unpacked to help me with coordinating some accessories for my new home.
