Hired Santational Maids to do a "move in" cleaning of our new home. This included vacuuming, moping, cleaning the oven, bathrooms, sweeping the garage, vacuuming the attic, etc. I would certainly use this company again as they were though and detail oriented. I appreciated the special attention to detail they paid, particularly since we have small children (one with severe allergies) and the preivous owners had pets. We had new carpet installed and the installers left a lot of debris. We were in corporate housing and did not have access to a vacuume cleanner. Therefore, just having them vacuume the carpet was a BIG deal for us. Nevertheless, they did a fabuous job. I had no hesitation in walking barefoot through the house, taking a shower or just using the bathroom facilities. I asked that they wipe down each door know and light switch prior to our move in and they did! Awesome people to work with. Thank you.
My husband and I hired Lonnie Lane of LandScapes Lighting, Irrigation & Landscaping to perform the spring mainanance on the irrigation system on our new home. Lonnie was kind, knowlegeable, and helpful. He did a wonderful job of showing us how to take care of our system and checking it for any malfunctions. I found him to be professional as well as non-biased as the previous owners used his services exclusively. Because he had prior knowledge of the home and our whole house inspection did not include the irrigation system, he gave us invalueable information about prior problems with the system. I will definitely contact Lonnie Lane again in the fall to shut down our system and would certainly refer him to my friends, family and neighbors.
I received a gift basket from a friend. The card read Baskets World Gift Baskets. Nilsa Maldonado is the owner. Although the basket was astheticly pleasing to the eye, it was filled with generic merchandise that reminded me of Bigg Lots/Odd Lots or Tuesday Morning stuff. Nothing was stale or distasteful, but the only item that was recognizable was "Cruch N' Munch". I don't believe that I'd order this item for a friend or colleauge, but again, I don't know how much the "friend" paid for this item.
CONS: Generic contents
I happened upon this realtor searching for homes online. We were being relocated and although they'd assigned us an agent, he just wasn't getting the job done. I was performing much of the legwork myself along with preparing my home to be put on the market. Well, needless to say, even after talking to Michael and letting him know that I was pretty much stuck with my agent, he continued to help me. Never once even suggesting that I dump my agent. After about 3 weeks of misery and complaining, I finally called the relocation company and put my foot down. I told them that at whatever cost, Mike McNulty was the man for the job. Mike and his partner, Carolyn Brown, were by far the best real estate agents my husband and I have ever, ever, delt with! Complete professionalism, the patience of saints, thorough, unyeilding and just a joy to work with. We happended to purchase a home in the same subdivision as our agent and I am proud that he was (IS) our realtor. We have recommended him to countless neighbors and aquaitances since moving into our new home. You can't go wrong!
The idea of putting in granite counter tops kind of put me over the edge. I kept thinking about all of the other things I could have done with such a large amount of money. Nevertheless, after contacting the owner at N2 Granite, Inc. in Mooresville, North Carolina, my mind was put at ease. I scheduled an appointment to pick out my "slab". That morning I got up, pulled out a drawer front and headed out. They met me at the door witha cup of coffee and a smile. We toured the site, I looked a pictures of recent projects they'd completed. It was impressive. They explained where the different stones and granite were mined and why one inparticular was "royal blue"...boy was it beautiful. Once I had an idea of what color I was interested in, we ventured out into the plant. There were guys driving machinery that carried slabs of granite outside onto "slab holders" so that I could view the slabs in natural sunlite. When I left I felt knowlegable, empowered, and reassured about my choice in countertop.
"Affordable...Gas Piping came to my home in install a gas cooktop in my new home. He arrived on time, he was friendly, he gave me a FREE estimate prior to me agreeing to have the work done. I agreed to have the work done, he did it that day and was done in time for me to cook dinner for my family. I've had several cooktops installed in my life. His price was fair, he was quick, knowledgeable and very friendly. I would certainly recommend him again to friends, family, and neighbors. What a wonderful expereince!
N Visions Home Inspections performed our Residential Home Inspection and we were more than happy. The inspector took his time to thoroughly check ever door jam, every lock, each light switch, the entire crawl space area, the carpet, etc. Everything from the roof to the crawl space and everhthing in between. Wow, what a wonderful job. Then, he took the time to go over each and every point of concern and made suggestions for items that would could not technically asked to have fixed/repaired. We felt so good about our home once we moved in. We knew it's ins and outs and all of it's quirks, we haven't had a suprise yet.
Sam Terres and her staff are top-notch. We moved across state with four children. Our real estate agent recommended Sam and not knowing anyone else in town, we went. Althgouh we have very well-behaved children, the process was lenghtly and the kids were getting a bit restless as it was past dinner time. The staff was more than accomodating. They kept the kids busy at the back of the conference room with coloring books, crayons, etc. while we were BOTH able to carefully listen to the specifics of our agreement. They made it paineless and effortless.
New to the area, I call a few friends for an Ob/Gyn recommendation. Having had four children, I know what I like and what I don't like. I had several people recomend there Ob/Gyn, but with hesitation. Finaly, one woman called me back and told me about her doctor's office. Clean, professional, etc. So, I called the office and set up an appointment. I asked the person scheduling the appointment to send me any paperwork that would need to be completed in advance to cut down on my wait time. Gues what, they actually sent it. When I arrived, they sent me right to the waiting room. As soon as I was undressed the doctor knocked and entered the room. He answered all of my questions and didn't seem rushed. He asked me lots of questions too. The check out procedure was seamless, the staff was courteous. It was a delight.
