Arabia Steamboat Museum
Araba Steamboat is a wonder that kansas city it lucky to have. As a child, going there on a field trip was always fun, and you always saw something new each time. The tour guides are helpful, and really know their stuff! Wonderful educational experiance for all ages.
Toy & Miniature Museum Of Kc
I am not sure if this is a free museum or not, but the things they have there are sure to amaze you! I love going there as a child to look at all the tiny items, and the kids love it now! Never that crowded either.
Science City At Union Station
The kids really love going to science city and learning about new things a few times a year. They loved the dino-lab, and we can't wait for the next show they have there! Union station is being put to such a great use now.
Nelson-Atkins Museum Of Art
Not only do they have beautiful art work and shows, they outside of the museum is beautiful too! The shuttle cock is known around the states as an icon to the kansas city area. Always an educational, and fun time had.
Cowboy's Tattoo Emporium
This place is a little on the small side, not many artist, but they do alright work. It is a long way out of the way if you don't live in the lee's summit area, but if you live around there, it would be a great place for you to get work done. Call for an appt, they are usually busy.
Illustrated Man Tattoo Studio
Everytime I go into this studio, they are very helpful and friendly and really want to work with you! Their prices are some of the cheapest in the northland, but their work is not cheap! Its great!
A 1 Tattoo Co
I have had most of my work done at A1 on northoak trafficway, and I am always happy with the work that they do. They get a lot of walk in clients, so it is good to have an appt. They also sell really nice custom gauged rings for ears and other piercings.
Body Jewelry By Irezumi
All of their artist are top notch, and do beautiful work. You will be paying a little bit more, but since you are marking your body forever, I feel that it is worth it. Call ahead of time for an appointment, so you get the best service. You also might want to show up with a picture or an idea of what you want.
Freaks Tattoo & Body Piercing
freaks did my nose piercing a while back, but they were a little more expensive than other shops, and insisted i get it done with a hoop inside of a ring, which was much more painful and caused an infection. they were nice, but i won't go back.
Desmonds Formal Wear
We got my husband and his groomsmen tuxes from two different desmonds. one at metro and the other indepence. they totally messed the order up, no one had shoes until an hour before the wedding and we had to drive an hour out of our way to get them! they wouldn't even bring them to us! no discounts, and they were COMPLETELY rude.
