Tropicana Pizza

Las Vegas, NV Pizza Restaurants 08/13/05: 'Rundown Parlor Needs Help'

Yuck! This paper thin pizza is horrible. They have a nice menu but the main dish (pizza) is simply disgusting. On the other, I do love their buffalo chicken wings. Very tasty and very delicious. Staff is friendly and knowledgable of the items on the menu. I will call again for items other than pizza on the menu. Prices are low and the specials are great.

PROS: Chicken Wings and Subs
CONS: Pizza needs a lot of work

Albion Book Co

What a great selection of hard to find books. I truly love this place. If I can't find it, they will find it for me. Truly affordable prices and titles of all genres on display. A warm and very professional staff helped me to locate an out of print book. Without the help of the friendly staff, I'd still be looking for my book. I will continue to shop at Albion's. If you are a booklover, please locate this bookstore and indulge.

PROS: Service and Selection; Warm and Friendly Staff and Enviornment
CONS: It's hard to find fault with this company.

Tony Roma's

Las Vegas, NV Barbeque Restaurants 08/13/05: 'Overrated BBQ Restaurant'

This was an absolute total shocker. So many people had recommended this restaurant to me that I just had to pay it a visit. What a horrible experience!!! The place was so crowded that I couldn't even hear what my date was saying to me all night long during dinner. The hostess was rude and very unprofessional in her mannerisms. She never smiled and never welcomed us to Tony Romas. The waiter was even worst. It took someone 15 minutes to take our drink order; another 15 minutes to get our drinks, and another 30 minutes before he took our dinner order. When the food arrived it was over cooked and cold. What a horrible experience. Never again will I visit Tony Romas' restaurant. Please save yourself the trip - and money. This is not a very nice place and the food is overrated.

PROS: The decor
CONS: Everything imaginable

Borders Books & Music

Las Vegas, NV Book Stores 08/13/05: 'Best Bookstore In Town'

What a great bookstore. All new releases are nicely featured and harder to find books and mags are displayed in easy to access shelves. Great staff that focuses on customer service first and foremost. Love the music and movie selection as well. You might pay a few bucks more, but its well worth it when you get great service and hard to find products. Keep up the awesome job.

PROS: Customer service and the selctions of great books, music and movies
CONS: None to date

Las Vegas Golf Club

My first visit last week was truly a great experience. I had a family member in from out of town who wanted to golf so we ended up at LVGC. After speaking with Bruce, a great golf representative with exceptional service skills and a friendly attitude, I was more than pleased with my overall golfing experience. Prices were great, course was fun and a real challenge, and everyone at LVGC was friendly and helpful. I recommend LVGC to everyone who loves to golf and expects great service.

PROS: Everything. The prices, the course and all the employees were great
CONS: Course needs to be just a bit greener...but hey its mid july. Looks good.

Book Lovers

As I entered this establishment, there was a very cold feeling about it. A man sat behind a desk by the entrance door and made no attempt to greet his customers. The book selection is limited to used paperbacks (well priced at 25 cents). The few hardback books on display were unknown titles and a bit pricey. I can go to the public library and pay much less for a well known titled hardback book. When I left, the sales man never acknowledged my presence, and did not say thank you for shopping. What a horrible experience.

PROS: Good paperback prices
CONS: Poor customer service, not a very good book selection, too small
