Meadia Heights Golf Club
Meadia Heights offers members a very well maintained golf course. They have several tournaments throughout the season, as well as an onsite pro-shop. The club also offers a formal dining room and a casual eatery and bar. Various special functions are held for members and their families throughout the year including comedy nights, bingo, wine sampling, and holiday parties. The club also has a pool for member use.
Yingst Exterminating
Yingst does a great job of keeping your home pest free. We have Yingst spray our home for carpenter bees yearly. After the first application, if we continue to see bees, Yingst comes out and reapplies without any hassle. The technicians are always friendly, prompt, and knowledgeable. Their prices are very fair.
Williams Apothecary
Williams Apothecary is an old fashioned, customer service oriented business. It is a small pharmacy, but offers services that other large chain pharmacies do not offer. For instance, they provide custom compounding, and they also offer herbs and nutritionals. I used Williams Apothecary to purchase custom compounded eye drops for my dog. It was the only place in Lancaster where I could get them.
Class Act
Class Act served as the disc jockey for our wedding. It was a wonderful experience start to finish. Their prices were competitive, and they were very thorough in meeting with us ahead of time and planning the entertainment for the night. The DJ followed our wishes exactly; and the DJ was classy, not "cheesey" like some wedding DJs.
Adair's Brunnerville Carpet
I had my home recarpeted by Adairs. They were very knowledgeable and helpful, and they offered a wide variety of carpets types and colors from which to choose. They also sell an assortment of quality throw rugs. I purchased a few Shaw holiday rugs there. I was very happy with the experience.
Albertson's Carriage Co Inc
We had Albertsons Carriage Company help us to make our wedding more memorable for us and for our guests. We had two carriages which brought the wedding party to the reception for a grand entrance. Then Albertsons stayed for 2 hours and gave carriage rides to guests. Many guests told us that the carriage ride was such a romantic and wonderful treat! Albertsons has many horses and carriages from which you may choose. Their service is wonderful.
Frysville Farms
Frysville Farms offers a wide variety of bushes, shrubs, flowers, trees, and evenindoor plants. They also offer Christmas trees during the holiday season. I find some of the prices to be higher than some of the other greenhouses in the area. However, their prices on tropical plants and ficas trees cannot be beat. I bought some HUGE ficas trees for only $25. I was thrilled!
Twin Pine Manor B & B
Twin Pine Manor is located in Ephrata, PA. The actual site of this bed and breakfast is not anything very special. It is near a car lot, and a major road without many trees to buffer the view. However, when you step inside, it is beautiful. There is a grogeous great room, dining areas, game room, and more. The guest rooms are very luxeriously decorated. The furniture, bedding, and decor are absolutely beautiful.
Maryann's Hair With A Flair
I went to Maryanne's Hair With a Flair over the course of a few years. I was always happy with my haircuts. They were affordable, and Maryanne always did what I asked her to witht he cut (which doesn't always happen!). I have long hair, and I was happy that she did not cut a lot more off than what I had asked. I have had that experience at several places.
Hair-Em
I received a gift certificate to the Hair Em for a manicure and pedicure. It was a birthday gift from a friend. I was so excited to use the gift certificate, but I didn't end up with very good results. First, the manicurist overflowed the foot tub. Bubbles and water were going everywhere, and she had to keep scooping them out of the tub. She had put too much in there. Then the manicure and pedicure paint job was very poorly done. There were so many bubbles in the nail polish, and she got polish on my cuticles and around my nails. I was not impressed with this service.
