This store has a very large selection of party related goods. You can start by having them print out the invitations for your event, then choose the pieces for your party favors, then look for decorations and accessories for the big day! They also have gifts, gift cards, stationery, and seasonal decorations.
The salespeople at this fitness equipment store were very helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly. The store itself is small and crowded, but the prices were at a good discount They carry more of the higher end products than chain sporting goods stores, so the prices may seem to be high, but the brands and quality are much better than those other stores.
PROS: friendly, good quality, good prices
CONS: old crowded store
The Mandarin taught at this school is based on the BoPoMo curriculum from Taiwan. They offer afterschool and summer language classes, as well as tutoring in other subjects. The teachers are very friendly and supportive, and even though we don't know the language, our child has learned a tremendous amount. I just wish they had a good selection of instructional books or videos to help at home.
Located near the intersection of Harbor and Imperial Hwy, this little shop carries a large selection of scrapbook papers, stickers, and embellishments. They also have tables where they run classes. The salesclerk did not greet us or ask us if we needed help, but did smile and make small talk when we bought something.
PROS: good selection of paper and stickers
CONS: small; not very friendly
This is a very large warehouse located off the 10 freeway near West Covina Parkway. Most of the inventory is displayed on pallets, and I assume you buy what you see. The prices were good for real hardwood, and they had a better quality selection of laminates than at regular home improvement stores. Unfortunately, the sales staff was either too busy or inattentive to answer our questions, so we didn't buy from them.
PROS: good quality, large selection of flooring
CONS: poor customer service
Specializing in fabrics for home design, this discount outlet has an amazing inventory of upholstery, drapery, and regular fabrics. It's small, not well lit, and a bit cramped, but the prices are good for the quality.
This is a great place to visit if you are looking for an outdoor fountain, statue, or fancy lamp post for your yard. There is an area of the lot that has a distinct Asian style with pagodas, bonsai, and buddhas. Most of the store, though, is devoted to other styles. The quality can be high, and so can the price. There is only street parking. The staff is friendly and helpful.
This store has a great selection of toys that are sometimes discontinued, limited edition, or just hard to find. Since this location on the Third Street Promenade is not especially large, they don't have many big toys/bikes, but the selection of action figures, dolls, and model figures is amazing. Parking can be a hassle in Santa Monica, but there's a mall and parking garage nearby offering free then fee parking.
Apparently, when we bought our house, the air conditioner was not in top shape. We contacted Argo Contractor Service and they responded quickly, professionally, and proficiently. They also gave us advice on low-cost maintenance and repairs we can do ourselves
This small beauty salon is located in the large Hong Kong Market Plaza. They recently remodeled and added very comfy manicure/ pedicure lounging chairs and updated decor. Weekdays are not too busy and the parking lot is huge.
