I really like this Gas station! It's the only one where I can get my marathon bars in Boca! The Gas always has the best prices and they have a great car wash and vacuum service!

Butterfly World

Imo, it's too much $$ for what you get,but it's really cute! The kids get to walk around with butterfly's all around them..some will even come and sit on you're fingers..it's a great palce to take pictures..I was just surprised that there really is no good food..just a few vending stands. It's worth seeing at least once, you won't be bored..but the whole tour is pretty short, you can get through it with no kids in about 15 minutes..with kids a good hour. oh and sometimes the local parenting mags have coupons

Bally Total Fitness

Good gym.pretty clean. Great fitness classes and equipment, not very up to date but it's a good gym. The only thing I wasn't to thrilled with was my fitness package, I purchased 10 training sessions and everytime my trainer was like 10 minutes late and she counted that towards my 1 hour..LOL and she always was very distracted and unfocused and frequently left 5-10 minutes early or was cancelling because her kids were sick..

But all in all decent Gym.

CONS: unattentive trainers

Verde Elementary School

I really was not very happy with this School. Both of my children went there for 3 years. The first day of kinder my sons teacher gave him a "RED" mark for poor behavior..ummm hello???? It was his first day of School!! Are you kidding me?? That was just beyond cruel. This type of behavior remained with most of the Teachers I had seen in that School. This past year we never even got a teacher meeting which is REQUIRED by the state.. the Teacher just would not keep our appointments! There was also an incident involving a teacher taking my sons sweatshirt from him..off his back and giving it to another 1st grader who said it was his! I brought the store reciept in and they still would not return it..they said that would be mean to the child they gave it to??? huh?????? All and all I think that unless you are a muti- millionare you are going to be treated like dirt at this School. If you can avoid It I would.

PROS: My kids now hate school..so if thats what you're going for...
CONS: Everything about this place was a con

Sal's Restaurant & Pizzeria

I loved this pizza place!! They are very family friendly..the waiter even brought out huge coloring books and crayons for the kids! Not something you see everyday in Boca! LOL! The food was really great, the service was excellant. The only complaint I had is that we were seated right next to the door..but I'm sure we could have asked to move. They also have these really great family pack coupons if you can get a hold of them!

Salon Salon Of Boca

This past July (2005) I went into Salon Salon on a Saturday Morning. The first thing that should have been a red flag for me was the fact that there was only 1 stylist and 5 customers.

I went in to get my Blond hair back to it's original Brown color..easy enough right?? And to make it easier for them I re-grew out 5 inches of roots so that they could get a perfect match.

When I sat down in the seat I told him please just get my hair back to it's original medium brown color, and I don't want to see any reds at all!

Well, 6 hours later, the salon was closing and in the lighting there it looked ok. I got home and I could not believe my eyes! There where patches of blond everywhere, it looked like he just didn't put the color on some parts of my head! And the parts he did he left so much blond in that I looked like I had gray hair! Than he put 2 uneven bright penny orange highlights in the front?

So I went back for a correction,and here is where it got really bad! He fought with me right in front of people, had a huge blowout with me! I mean, oh my gosh! I'm the customer! and I just spent $200!! Make it right! don't embaress me! The owner was sitting right there and just ignored the entire thing! Oh and I forgot to mention, he also cut my hair..yeah..cut a chunk out of the middle of my hair and called it a haircut.

Anyway, He finally agreed with me that it was screwed up and proceed to "work-in" what he said was the right hair color for over an hour, he sat over my head and worked it in. Well when it was all said and done.. my hair was SHARPIE MARKER PITCH BLACK!!!!!!!! I was mortified! I left the salon crying my eyes out, the owners respone?? Be glad she didn't charge me for the correction?? Oh, he got black dye all over the jacket, my shirt and my pants!! When I called to tell her she said wow it;s just one thing after another with you!! I ended up getting it fixed somwhere else for $200. And now have very damaged hair. and am out $400.00 :(
