Lakewood Glass and Screen is a store providing a convenient service. The staff is well versed in their craft and are friendly and helpful. The cost of the services they offer such as re-screening windows and doors is reasonable but their cost for customer windows is rather high. I was able to get similar windows from another company for about 25 percent less than I was quoted here. For routine jobs, Lakewood Glass and Screen are perfect. For larger jobs, I think a better deal can be found elsewhere.

Once Read Books

Once Read Books is a store that you will not be able to enter only once. They have a small store nestled in busy retail area near the local community college. The staff is helpful and the selection is impressive. They specialize in books but they also have a nice selection of sports collecttibles. The prices are resasonable and they have a great trade in policy so you can replace books you no longer want with books that you do want.

Village Vault Antiques & Gifts

The Village Antiques Mall is a unique treasure. They have a large selection of items in a small store. Everywhere you look, you find something new and something interesting. Situated near a busy Community College area, the store remains quiet and inviting and the staff are helpful and courteous. Be prepared to spend some time looking at all of the items they have to offer.

Memory Lanes Antique Mall

Conveniently located off of the 110 Freeway, Memory Lane is an inviting place to spend your time. With so much to see, be prepared to spend a good amount of time going thru everything there. Prices vary from excellent values to over-priced depending on the seller. The items are grouped together by seller, so some areas have an odd mixture of items to look thru.

Long Beach Antique Mall

The Collectible Mall in Long Beach is a cute store. They seem to specialize in old signs as there are many displayed in the windows and hung on the walls. The items are grouped by common subject such as tools or fabric and cloth items. As with most antique stores, there are so many things to look at, it will take quite some time to view everything. But that is one of the joys of visiting antique stores, it is time well spent. The staff is friendly and helpful, espcially if you are looking for something specific.

Pet Partners

Do you have a problem grooming your pet? So do I, but the Pet Partners make it look effortless. The staff are very knowledgable in how to handle the tricky task of grooming fietsy cats and stubborn dogs. They also offer the full lines of the most popular flea control medicines. The pets are well treated and the prices are reasonable.

Points Of Light Inc.

Points of Light is a wonderful shop specializing in the items used by those who practice Witchcraft/Wicca. The Staff is helpful and willing to answer any questions about their craft and the items in the store. Their selection of crystals, books and oils is of special interest. The more experienced and novice alike will be able to find the supplies they need for a successful ritual.

Eye Of The Cataeurz

The Eye of the Cat specializes in supplies for those practicing the Art of Wicca/Witchcraft. They have an abundant supply of candles, oils, herbs, books and everything else . Their selection is helpful for the novice and experienced practioner alike. The staff is knowledgable and helpful. Prices may seem high for some items but most prices are inline with their competition.

Organic Compounds Inc

Organic Compounds, Inc is a nice store and has helpful people working there. I needed to have several pet stains removed from my home carpeting. The clerks at Organic were able to provide me with the cleaners that would remove the stains. For the most part, the stains did come up but I did have to have another company come in and remove some especially tough stains.

Byers & Butler Inc

When I purchased my home, I needed to make several repairs. A major repair was replacing the single pane garage door. Byers and Butler was an excellent choice for me. They sent a technician out to take measurments and provide an estimate of the cost. My garage is unusual in that it is a two car garage that has been converted to a one car garage. The tech was able provide an estimate that was several hundred dollars less than other companies I had contacted. The installation was quick and the cost came in at just a little more than the estimate. A very satisfying experience.
