Whitey's Booze N' Burgers
Their menu is simple, burgers or chicken and fries onion rings and of course Beer! The burgers are juicy, huge and taste great. The fries are fresh, and homemade, and the chili is the best. You can take home a tub of it! Just remember, they do not open until 4pm, except Sunday at 1pm.
Lamanna Barber Shop
Ernie cut my husbands hair when he was a little boy, and now he cuts our sons. He is so good with him, and he loves Ernie to death. He makes a haircut and the "Batman" cape for a little boy fun, and his prices our great from what I hear others charge.
Malley's Chocolates
This store not only sells wonderful chocolate, they serve ice cream. In the old fashioned way with soda jerks and glassware. It is a wonderful treat any time of year. I try something new each time we go. The chocolate pretzels are my favorite, the prices seem reasonable and they have most items in gift boxes ready to be given.
Society Dry Cleaners & Tailors
I use Society all the time for my dry cleaning. My clothes have always been ready when promised and have always been pressed and cleaned, as I want. They have convenient early and late hours for before and after work drop off. I have also had things tailored just as I request with no issues.
Basista Furniture
We bought the best quality tables chairs and server! It took a few trips to decide if we wanted to spend the extra money, but we were treated with wonderful and the quality is out of this world. We will return when it is time for a new couch set.
K & K Portage Market Inc
We like to stop here on Sunday and get some fresh lunchmeat for the week. They also have great burgers and hot dogs to throw on the grill. I love the Chicago skinless dogs with chili in a can they sell. YUM!! They are very clean and appreciate your patronage, too.
Amy Joy Donuts
The doughnuts usually taste like I am eating a cigarette, so I pass anymore. But they have the best coffeee around. I love to stop in on my way to evening class and get a fresh cup. It is very reasonable for a large cup and taste great until the very end!
Rudy's Strudel Shop & Bakery
Besides their delicious bakery, Rudy's offers handmade pierogies just like my polish grandmother used to make. When we stop in we stock up with dozens. They offer the traditional potato, cheese, etc and also some unique flavors to me such as cabbage. I always see wonderful cookie trays for special occasions that look just grand.
Rito's Italian Bakery
Walk into this bakery and you will want to walk out with everything they have to offer. Besides bakery they have a deli, and numerous other items besides cookies and cakes. Their frozen pizza is great. They also have a location in Medina that is just as clean and welcoming.
Elmwood Home Bakery
This bakery has great treats. My husband stops in to pick up treats for us every once in a while and the taste is like heaven. The smell is welcoming when you walk in. The kolachy's are my favorite item. The prices seem a little high, so we don't go very often.
