Shopper's Parking
The Yerba Buena Garage is great to use when you're shopping in downtown San Francisco because it is within walking distance from all the shops. It is also just across the street from the Yerba Buena center. Their fees are pretty average and they have several floors of parking spaces. They do sometimes fill up fairly quickly on weekends though.
Yerba Buena Center for the Arts
The Yerba Buena Center for the Arts is a great place to go to browse contemporary art. It is located in a very contemporary style building as well. They have exhibitions for visual art, film and video. The also have performing arts in dance, music and theater. I actually like it better than San Francisco Museum of Modern Art.
Cathedral Event Ctr
St. Marys Cathedral is located on the corner of Gough and Geary Blvd and is famous for its four pointed tower roof. It is beautiful to look up that towering ceiling from the inside as well. The religious dcor is very minimal with just a simple cross at the front altar. They do have a very big organ though and sounds beautiful when its played during a service.
Grace Cathedral Episcopal Chr
I attended a friend's wedding at the Grace Cathedral Episcopal Church a couple of years ago and I have to say that this is a very beautiful church architecturallly. It has two towers on both sides and the stained glass windows are just beautiful to look at. The church also has this unusual labyrinth inside the church and outside too. Definitely worth seeing just for its beauty.
Riordan High School
I attended Riordan High school the last two years of my high school years. I liked the school although it was an all boys school. There was a lot of competition though in terms of sports and the teachers were great. They have very high academic standards and I'm glad I attended there despite the fact the it wasn't co-ed.
Balboa High School
I attended Balboa High School for two years before I transferred over to Riordan High when my family moved. Balboa was an okay school and there were some good teachers. The facilities were old and bathrooms could be better. There weren't any parking spaces either if you wanted to drive to school so I usually took public transportation.
Cathedral Hill Hotel
I have only been at the Cathedral Hill Hotel once to attend a baseball cards convention with my friends. The place does not have it's own parking lot so we had to park on the street which was difficult since Van Ness is a busy street. The place was okay, kind of an old looking hotel though.
Church Of Christ
Church of Christ is a small church that's located right off the freeway. They have a very small parking lot on the side of the church. This was where I went several years ago to vote when I lived in the area. It's really a small facility but satisfactory for voting purposes.
Major Line Gas
Whenever I visit my in-laws with my kids, I always drop by Major Line Gas station to get some gas because they are usually cheaper than most other gas stations especially now a days when gas prices are so high that I am always on the look out for inexpensive gas. They only have 2 pumps though but I have never had to wait to get gas there.
Pinole Valley Lanes
Pinole Valley lanes is a great place to go bowling with the entire family. I used to play here often with my friends and with my family when I lived nearby but still occasionally go with old friends that live near there. I never had to wait for a lane to open up and they also have plenty of parking available.
